The Nissan GT-R is one of the most popular cars produced by the Japanese automotive brand. It has appeared in video games and movies with its most popular on-screen appearance as Brian O’Conner’s ride in the Fast and Furious franchise.
Those wondering what it could have been like driving behind the wheel of the famed “Godzilla” are in for a treat. Because today, we will be taking a peek at what’s inside the Nissan GT-R.
Pop culture trained us to expect racing seats, four-point seatbelts, roll cages, or a NOS tank when we think of the GT-R’s cabin. That’s why it’s surprising to know that the interior of the current-gen GT-R sports an abundance of luxurious leather.
Nissan says that the new GT-R has been designed to blend comfort and capability and positions it as “artisan meets engineer.”
That said, you get power-adjustable heated sports seats finished in hand-stitched semi-aniline leather, a three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel, a leather-wrapped shift knob, a dash cover created from a single leather hide, and some leather accents on the doors and door handles.
Honestly, the refreshed interior of the GT-R feels more like Deckard Shaw than Brian O’Conner.
Nissan packed the GT-R with some decent car tech including an eight-inch advanced touchscreen audio that features Bluetooth and USB connectivity. Audio is delivered to an 11-speaker Bose Premium audio system with dual subwoofers.
The actual infotainment screen can be controlled using the all-new Display Commander that lets drivers toggle up and down, side-to-side, rotate, scroll through and control the infotainment system, all without the need to look down or touch the display screen.
And to help drivers get in the mood as they play their favorite Eurobeat music, Nissan packed the GT-R with active sound enhancement and active noise cancellation technology.
Nissans have earned a reputation in the Philippine automotive industry as a brand with good air-conditioning. Needless to say, Nissan’s premium performance-oriented packs an air-conditioning system that won’t disappoint.
You’ll find a dual-zone automatic air-conditioner paired with precision-touch vents and etched aluminum bezel knobs.
The Nissan GT-R is currently offered in two variants: the GT-R Premium and the GT-R Nismo. Pricing is upon request.
