Wheel Gallery, Inc. has announced its partnership with Method Race Wheels, making it the official distributor for the off-roading wheel maker to the Philippine market.
Method Race Global Sales Director Wheels Matt Harris said, “Wheel Gallery has proven to be an automotive aftermarket leader in the Philippines and we are excited to partner with a well-known and established brand to bring our industry-leading products to market. Our commitment to customer experience, product quality and persistent innovation will be represented well through our new partner.
“We also look forward to visiting the Philippines soon to explore trails with the off-road community,” he added.
Kicking off the brand launch is the introduction of its initial offering, the MR107 Bead Grip. The said product is used on the Toyota Gazoo Racing Hilux used in the Dakar Rally. “The wheel is a culmination of Method’s years of off-road racing experience and technological expertise to be able to withstand the harshest conditions while boasting a load rating of up to 4,000 pounds,” Wheel Gallery shared in a statement.
Further, notable Method Race Wheels wins include the Dakar Rally, Baja 1000, and King of the Hammers, showcasing the design and engineering that are made to meet the requirements of the most demanding off-road races in the world.
“Method Race Wheels leadership actively participates in off-road racing events while working with some of the best motorsports teams and drivers in the world to push the limits of their products. The application of their race proven R&D knowledge separates them from all other wheel companies in the marketplace. The motto of Method Race Wheels is embodied in each product they develop, for racing or everyday use, Lighter. Stronger. Faster,” the company noted in its statement.
The recently patented Bead Grip Technology was developed to hold tires securely in place despite requiring lower tire pressure for the gain of additional traction.
The said feature has been tested to hold tires securely in place with as little as 10 psi all without the use of a mechanical beadlock ring — a first in automotive wheel engineering. Also, the Bead Grip’s reduced weight versus a traditional beadlock wheel allows for less strain on the vehicle drivetrain while simultaneously unleashing more available horsepower to the driver.
Further, Wheel Gallery claimed that Bead Grip products by Method Race Wheels are also safe for on-road vehicles. Traditional beadlock wheels can only be utilized for off-road purpose and require regular maintenance.
Those eyeing to get their Method Race Wheels may visit the Concept One Wheels located at 318 Santolan Road, San Juan or authorized dealers.
Relatedly, Wheel Gallery President Sam Liuson said that the aside from wheels, the off-road community can also expect them to bring Method Race lifestyle products soon, which will include brand apparel, among others.
