Lexus could be unveiling an electric version of the LC sports coupe at the upcoming 2023 Japan Mobility Show.
That’s because Toyota’s luxury division revealed teaser photos of an electric concept car, which will be presented at the said automotive expo.
Although no details have been disclosed yet, the silhouette of the photo revealed sports a low-slung stance as well as a fastback design. On that note, it could be possible that it will be an electric version of the locally available Lexus LC.
Now Lexus has already made a hybrid version of the LC, so giving it an all-electric powertrain does makes sense.
To note, Lexus’ fully electric car in the Philippines comes in the form of the RZ 450e crossover. Meanwhile, its hybrid electric sedans in the country include the LS, IS, and ES nameplates.
In addition to the aforementioned concept vehicle, Lexus will also present other battery-electric models at the forthcoming auto expo. The said battery-electric vehicles will herald Lexus’ transition into an electric vehicle brand.
In addition to the concept models, Lexus will have virtual reality (VR) driving simulators to allow visitors to experience a future world of driving where electrification and artificial intelligence technologies help cater to individual customer needs and connect with society.
Dubbed the Lexus Electrified VR Experience, the said activities will allow guests to fully engage in a VR-exclusive setting and encounter the personalized driving experience and enhanced lifestyle that Lexus is committed to delivering.
Overall, Lexus’ booth at the upcoming automotive spectacle is rooted in the theme “Pushing the Boundaries of the Electrified Experience.” The brand’s Japan Mobility Show booth will feature traditional Japanese aesthetics and environmentally friendly, sustainable bamboo material, expressing its commitment to achieving a carbon-neutral society.
