Per Mitsubishi, the Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium sound system can adjust the volume and the sound quality of the audio to match vehicle speed. At the time of publishing, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation is yet to confirm if the forthcoming compact SUV is indeed the XFC Concept. However, certain features of the photos teased by the Japanese carmaker led Carmudi Philippines to believe that we could potentially be seeing the concept car’s production unit.
The photos show the automobile’s front end that wears a shiny three-diamond emblem and a T-shaped headlamp similar to that of the Mitsubishi XFC Concept that was previewed in the country.
Similarly, it has the T-shaped taillamps that can be found on the Mitsubishi XFC Concept displayed last month at the Newport Mall in Pasay City.
According to Mitsubishi, the upcoming vehicle was designed with consideration of how compact SUVs are used in the ASEAN region. On that note, it will have a ground clearance of 222 millimeters and will come with four driving modes, namely Normal, Wet, Gravel, and Mud.
The new Wet mode, in particular, is said to help owners take better control of the steering wheel even when driving on wet roads flooded by sudden showers.
The four drive modes, Mitsubishi pointed out enable the vehicle to handle various road conditions through an integrated control of the Active Yaw Control, which improves controllability by adjusting the driving force on the front left and right wheels; traction control, which controls skidding of the tires; engine control; and power steering control.
“In developing the all-new compact SUV, we enhanced road performance through repeated testing in Japan on a course that mirrored the road conditions of the ASEAN region, as well as thorough, extensive road testing in the region itself,” Mitsubishi Motors Chief Product Specialist Masahiro Ito said.
It is also no secret that the upcoming compact SUV from Mitsubishi will be equipped with the Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium sound system. Developed to answer the needs of customers in the ASEAN region, the sound system adjusts not only the volume to match vehicle speed but also the sound quality itself, thereby delivering lively bass and clear mid and high tones even when driving on a rough surface.
“We developed the Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium with special attention to high-quality sound, so that customers who come on board can enjoy an exciting driving experience. This all-new compact SUV is full of Mitsubishi Motors-ness and attractions befitting a Mitsubishi vehicle, so please look forward to the launch,” Ito added.
GIIAS 2023 will open its doors to the public on August 11- 20, 2023.
