'Wonderboy' Paz debuts in SS600 Category
McKinley Kyle Paz—also known as the "Wonderboy"—continues to wow spectators in the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship.
This time, he brings his grit and abilities on the higher tier: at the SS600 Category.
After ruling the ARRC 2019 UB150 Class, Yamaha Philippines' Wonderboy, stepped up to the SS600 category this season.
On board the YZF-R6, Paz started at the 11th grid position, he showed what he could do as he went on full throttle against his 15 rivals.
During the first race (Round 1, Race 1), he managed to overtook half of his opponents, placing 8th in his debut race.
On Race 2, he wore another shot of confidence, this time, finishing 7th.
The recent placing made Paz, hungrier for more.
For the next round, Yamaha will be competing in the Land Down Under, as they will be taking on the tracks of The Bend Motorsport Park in Australia.
Earlier, the shy-yet-optimistic Paz told Carmudi Philippines that he would be working double time to get a good placing as this would be his first time to compete in the said division.
"All of them already know who to watch out for. But for me, I'm relatively the youngest in 600cc category, so I'm looking out for everyone out there," Paz said.
