Per Yamaha, only two rounds remain in the ARCC race series.
  • Why did Mascardo get a DNF?

Mascardo received a DNF after slipping in the last turn of the race.
  • Motorcycle racers  April King Mascardo and Gian Carlo Mauricio experienced a string of losses in their stint at the said meet, making their shot for a podium finish a tall mountain to climb.

Mascardo — who finished third overall last year — finished in 11th place in Race 1. Further, the Davao City native’s front tire slipped on Race 2 on the last turn as he was holding on to third place. Following this, Mascardo’s excellent showing led to a DNF (Did Not Finish).

Meanwhile, Mauricio — who qualified for the 11th spot at the grid — finished 24th in Race 1 and managed to reach 17th place in Race 2.

Only two rounds remain in the series, which means that the two Filipino riders face a battle against time.

To date, Mascardo now sits at the 13th spot overall while the pride of Binangonan, Rizal is on the outside looking in at the 23rd spot.

"Their next race will be on November 4-5 in China, and they will need to be virtually perfect to contend for a respectable finish this season. Difficult as it may seem but greatness never comes easy and on the racetrack anything is possible," Yamaha Motor Philippines said in a statement.
