Yamaha Mio Gear to be available by next month, starts at P75K

Yamaha Mio Gear

Yamaha Motor Philippines (YMPH) has just launched the latest member of the Mio family in the country  with the introduction of the Mio Gear.

Set to be available to dealerships beginning next month, the newest addition to the local distributor's offerings is aimed to make its owner “ready to play” despite the situation, making it a good option for the daily urban commute.

Powering the Yamaha Mio Gear is a 125cc Blue Core engine, making the newest scooter fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly. It also has a Smart Motor Generator that greatly complements the stop-and-start system that ensures quick and quiet engine restarts with a twist of the throttle.

Stating that it is built to keep up with the hustle and bustle of the city, Yamaha added that the Yamaha Mio Gear has hazard lights, a slip-resistant footboard and the usual double item hanger (carabiner and hook).

It is also equipped with an answer-back system to help locate the motorcycle, a power outlet to devices while on the go.

To meet both style and safety requirements, this new scooter has reflectorized graphics to increase visibility on the road while highlighting the signature Mio emblem.

The Yamaha Mio Gear sits on 14-inch tires (80/80 in front, 100/70 in the rear). As an additional safety measure, the engine of the Yamaha Mio Gear will not start when the side stand is down.

Retailed in two versions, the pricing for the Yamaha Mio Gear is as follows:

  • Standard version: P75,900 (in white and matte blue colors)
  • S version: P79,900 (900 in Matte Black and Matte Gray)
