Yamaha Motor PH shatters 2 GWR, stages Yamaha Motorshow 2024
Yamaha Motor Philippines Incorporated (YMPH) broke two Guinness World Records (GWR) over the weekend.

Per YMPH some 3,300 motorcycle enthusiasts were present during the event.The local arm of the Japanese motorcycle brand took it to Ayala Malls Manila Bay to attempt to break three GWRs, namely The Largest Parade of Yamaha Motorcycles, The Most Motorcycle Horns Sounded Simultaneously, and The Most Engines Started Simultaneously.
After adjudicators from GWR oversaw the attempt, YMPH was named the new holders of the last two records.

YMPH — alongside some 3,300 motorcycle enthusiasts — saw success in their endeavor. Despite not breaking the record for The Largest Parade of Yamaha Motorcycles, the marque still holds the record with 1,208 participants (back in 2014).
“This Guinness World Records Official Attempt goes to show how strong the relationship between the brand and its community and how the ‘Revs Your Heart’ slogan constantly defines the purpose of having a Yamaha — it is to feel kando and experience to be part of an evolving community of riders,” YMPH said in a press release.
Kando, for those who do not know, is a Japanese term for the simultaneous feelings of deep satisfaction and intense excitement we experience when encountering something of exceptional value.

Relatedly, YMPH also opened the Yamaha Motorshow 2024. The said event played host to some of the motorcycle brand’s best models.
To note, YMPH’s current Philippine-market roster includes the likes of city scooters such as the Mio Sporty, Mio Gear, and Mio Aerox; underbone models like the Sniper 155; the PG-1 moped; the MT-10 hypernaked bike; the Tenere 700 adventure motorcycle; as well as the XSR 900 classic two-wheeler.
