Yamaha Motor Philippines Inc. (YMPH) has launched its latest campaign for the Mio Gear.
Held last weekend at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall, the first leg of the Yamaha Mio Gear Playground prepared a series of competitions — divided into the three main areas — created to showcase tenacity and dedication.
YMPH explained that the new initiative that revolves around “Play Your Tough” ideology, which is an encouraging push to ride through every challenge, master the hustle, and forge one’s way to an unbreakable lifestyle. “It’s all about embodying a gritty and unshakeable lifestyle. Facing every obstacle and overcoming it by relentlessly pushing through it,” YMPH noted.
First in the two-day program is the three-on-three basketball challenge where teams composed of influencers, media partners, and selected ballers had gone head-to-head to earn their spot to compete against social media ballers, Coach Mavs Phenomenal Basketball team.
Second was the Spartan Obstacle Course where aspiring athletes tested their physical strength, athletic ability, and mental fortitude by going against the top Spartans in the country.
Lastly, online gamers contested the Omega E-Sports Team from Mineski in the Call of Duty Mobile Challenge, which tested their psyche and how they handle pressure while making split second decisions during the game.
Per YMPH, the playground is also open for the public where the Yamaha Mio Gear is on display. Participants tested their skills on the basketball court with the three-point shootout and free throw challenges; Spartan aspirants can try out the obstacle course and see how fast they can finish; and gamers showcased their abilities in the Call of Duty mobile game.
The project followed the success of the Yamaha Mio Gear Moto Campground last year.
Further, YMPH said that it will conduct the campaign’s other legs in Cebu and Davao in the coming months.
It was during the final leg of the Yamaha Mio Gear Moto Campground where the Yamaha Mio Gear and the Yamaha Mio Gear S launched their latest colors. The former was dressed in Matte Gray and Matte Dark Gray while the latter wore Matte Black and Matte Brown paint.
To note, the scooter is powered by a 125 cubic centimeter (cc) engine with Blue Core technology mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
