Yamaha Motor Philippines (YMPH) revealed the newest campaign for the updated Mio Gravis.
The company tapped personality Mikee Reyes for the new automatic motorcycle offering’s latest promotion — dubbed the “Thrill Never Ends.”
“Mikee’s character embodies what the new Yamaha Mio Gravis is all about as the motorcycle is enjoying the never-ending thrill of life,” YMPH Marketing Section Manager Toni Acuesta told Carmudi Philippines. Philippines.
“Aside from design — which made it sportier than ever, it’s the Mio Gravis’ handling that sets it apart compared to its competitors. It keeps you engaged and ready to stay in the game,” he added.
For his part, Reyes is thankful for YMPH for making him the nameplate’s latest local ambassador.
Revealed early this year, the Mio Gravis’ updated version is 1,915 millimeters (mm) long, 690 mm wide and 1,115 mm tall with a 1,275 mm wheelbase and 135 mm ground clearance.
Looking more athletic than before, the automatic motorcycle comes with sharper lines on the front and side fairings.
The vehicle’s front fascia dons an almond-shaped blue inner lens that further emphasizes twin-eye LED headlamp — giving it a daring look. In addition, the Yamaha Mio Gravis sits on 12-inch wheels on tubeless tires.
Giving the rider information while on the saddle is the rectangular digital instrument cluster that displays fuel economy, speed, and kilometer reading — among others.
The new Yamaha Mio Gravis is still powered by the potent four-stroke, single overhead cam, two-valve, fuel-injected, air-cooled 125-cubic centimeter engine paired to a V-belt automatic transmission. The aforementioned mill has the capacity to give out up to 9.4 horses and 9.5 Newton-meters of pulling power. It is also equipped with a smart motor generator and stop-and-start system to boost fuel efficiency.
Its front fuel lid lets the rider fill up the 4.2-liter gas tank without leaving the seat. In addition, the fuel container is uniquely placed within the motorcycle to ensure handling stability.
Assuring that the new Yamaha Mio Gravis will stop on time are the hydraulic disc brake at the front, and mechanical leading drum at the rear.
Customers may also enjoy other technologies that are fitted in the Yamaha Mio Gravis’ spruced-up iteration such as the electric power socket and the Y-Connect system.
Packaged a one-year or 12,000-kilometer warranty, the new Yamaha Mio Gravis (which can be had in Glam Petrol, Matte Brown, and Matte Black body color options), is retailed for P93,900 — around P4,000 higher compared to its predecessor.
To recall, YMPH added the Gravis nameplate in the local Mio lineup in 2019.
