This will definitely give you more reasons to tell everyone that the Miata (or MX-5) is always the answer.
Mazda Philippines is letting you personalize your own MX-5 before it even leaves the showroom with the Build Your Personal MX-5 Program.
Starting this month, bespoke Mazda MX-5 units will be available for pre-order, making its ownership experience more personalized, detailed, and specifically suited to your taste.
Through the Build Your Personal MX-5 Program, the fourth-generation roadster from Mazda provides potential owners a total of 78 combinations to choose from. The build can be handpicked based on the customers’ preference in transmission, exterior color, interior trim, soft top or retractable fastback, including two different soft top color choices.
Such initiative was made to make every Mazda MX-5 best represent the owner’s personality.
The latest options for the 2021 Mazda MX-5 start with the six-speed manual transmission for premium-grade MX-5 soft-top variants. Aside from that, the 2021 Mazda MX-5 Soft Top offers a Dark Cherry soft top color to add to the classic black soft top variant. A new body color option is also offered for the 2021 Mazda MX-5: Deep Crystal Blue Mica.
Further, would-be owners may choose to have the seats covered in Red Nappa or Premium Black Leather and enjoy a nine-speaker Bose Sound System. Riding comfort and athletic driving is handled by the Bilstein Dampers and front strut bars, which comes as standard in Premium Soft Top Manual Transmission.
Mazda Philippines President and CEO Steven Tan took pride over their latest project.
“Mazda is known for its beautifully designed, superior quality, and meticulously engineered cars. The distinctive and dynamic nature of Mazda Design has influenced us to be more creative on how we present our cars to our customers. That is why we are introducing the Build Your Personal MX-5 Program,” he said.
“By giving them the opportunity to personally design and customize their very own MX-5 with our interactive online and showroom ordering guide, our clients will surely feel an even deeper and longer-lasting bond with their cars. This is a privilege previously found only in luxury sports car brands. And now, we make it available to Mazda clients who wish to create an even more personal MX-5 to suit their personality,” Tan added.
Those who are in the market for the MX-5 roadster may start their customization experience by reserving through any of the 19 dealerships around the country.
Mazda Philippines, however, clarified that personalized orders are expected to take an average lead time of between four to six months from order to delivery, depending on production allocation capacity and shipping logistics timing.
The Mazda MX-5 variants are all powered by the 2.0-liter Skyactiv-G engine that dishes out more than 181 horsepower and 205Nm torque.
Just like every Mazda vehicle in the country, the Mazda MX-5 comes with a 5-Year Free Service Plan. It covers all expenses of periodic maintenance at either six-month or 10,000-kilometer intervals, for up to five years or 100,000 kilometers, whichever comes first.
The latest program comes months after Mazda offered MX-5 100th Anniversary Special Edition models in Snowflake White Pearl finish and Cherry Red Soft Top fabric. Prior to local market unveiling, Mazda revealed the anniversary edition models in North America, together with the Mazda3.
