Hyundai added another entry to the local subcompact segment with the Reina. It does compete with the Hyundai Accent but is aimed at a different market within the segment and will hold the fort for Hyundai against other budget-friendly vehicles like the Kia Soluto and the Suzuki Dzire.
One of its selling points is its fuel-efficient engine that clocks in at 25.8kpl as advertised by the South Korean carmaker, that they claim was witnessed by the Automobile Association of the Philippines (AAP).
The Hyundai Reina is currently offered in the Philippines in four variants: the Reina 1.4 GL 5MT, the Reina 1.4 GL 4AT, and two similar models that are fitted with the Hyundai AVN (audio, visual, navigation) infotainment system.
The AVN adds a seven-inch head unit that features Android Auto and Apple Carplay compatibility.
Despite their different powertrain setups and added tech, these models are virtually identical. That said, we'll have a single spec sheet for both four variants.
