Zontes badge back in PH

MANILA: Bristol Motorcycles has re-introduced the Zontes badge in the Philippines.

The latest Zontes lineup — being retailed by its brand’s new arm — consisted of four scooters and one adventure motorcycle namely 400E, 400D, 400G, 400M, and 703F.

Bristol Motorcycles Vice President for Marketing David Winkle said that all five motorcycles are now available for reservations in all its dealerships and will be displayed to the public at the Makina Moto Show 2025 next month.

In a statement, Bristol Motorcycles shared that with the newly-inked cooperation, riders in the country can experience Zontes’ “cutting-edge technology, advanced engineering, and distinctive styling.”

“This partnership brings world-class innovation to the local market.  With Bristol’s strong presence, Zontes is set to redefine premium motorcycling in the country,” the firm noted.

Here’s what buyers of Bristol Zontes models will get.

Powertrain

All four automatic transmission motorcycles under the local Bristol Zontes roster (400E, 400D, 400G, 400M) are equipped with single-cylinder, single overhead cam, four-valve, liquid-cooled, 400 cubic-centimeter engines. The aforementioned powertrain can deliver:

Maximum output (in horsepower [hp>)	38
Peak torque (in Newton-meters [Nm>)	40

Their respective brakes consist of:

• Front: Four-piston radial caliper
• Rear: 220-millimeter rear disc-type

Meanwhile, the lone model that is offered in manual transmission (Bristol Zontes 703F) is powered by three-cylinder, double overhead cam, 12-valve liquid-cooled mill that give out a peak of:

Maximum output (in hp)	97
Peak torque (in Nm)	76

Guaranteeing the two-wheeler’s stopping power are its brakes system:

• Front: 310-mm floating dual disc type
• Rear: 264-mm disc type

Technologies

The common amenities that can be found in the Bristol Zontes 400E, 400D, 400G, and 400M are:

• Digital instrument panel
• LED illumination
• Keyless start
• Dual Riding modes
• USB charging port
• Tire pressure monitoring system
• Underseat compartment that can carry two full-size XXL helmets
• Electronically-adjustable windshield

While they nearly have the same features, the four Bristol Zontes scooters have varying fuel capacities.

On the other hand, the Bristol Zontes 703F carries the same features, but with additional technologies such as built-in front and rear dash cameras, blind spot sensors, auxiliary lights, and crash guards.
