Suzuki for sale in Philippines | Suzuki price list

Michio Suzuki founded his company in 1909 as a producer of loom weaving machines. He then diversified his business by creating cars and other automobiles and in 1937 released several compact car prototypes. Suzuki’s apparent growth was stunted when World War II started as the Japanese considered cars “non-essential commodities” and stopped the production of vehicles unless they could be used for the war. The company then reverted to making loom-weaving machines.

After the war, Suzuki rekindled his passion for making vehicles and came upon an opportunity to create motor powered bicycles which started the company’s production of motorcycles. In 1952, it released a 36cc, two stroke Power Free engine that could be mounted on most bicycles. Two years later, the company was producing 6,000 motorcycles per month. Today, the company is considered the tenth biggest automaker in the world and has also ventured into producing trucks.

The renowned motor company started its operations in the Philippines in 1959 through the efforts of Rufino D. Antonio and Associates, Inc. As one of the “big four” motorcycle manufacturers in the Philippines (joined by other Japanese brands such as Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha) Suzuki holds around 14 percent share of the Philippine market.

Suzuki has been a reliable trademark in the automotive industry for both commercial and passenger vehicles. The proven durability and performance of its products have always been its strong points. Here in the Philippines, Suzuki Philippines Inc., which is owned by Suzuki Motors Ltd. (Japan), is the official distributor of the Japanese brand for both motorcycle and car models. Suzuki’s current lineup of motorcycles in the country include the Suzuki Raider R 150, Suzuki Raider J 115 FI, Suzuki Shooter 115 FI, Suzuki Smash 115, Suzuki Gixxer, Suzuki AX4, Suzuki GD 110, Suzuki Address, Suzuki SkyDrive 125, Suzuki Hayabusa (GSX-R1300), Suzuki RM-Z250, Suzuki GSX-R750, Suzuki GSX-S1000 ABS, Suzuki V-STROM 1000 ABS, Suzuki V-STROM 650 ABS, Suzuki GSX-R 600, and Suzuki GSR 750.
