Agreeable to drive and well-equipped
The BMW X1 is agreeable to drive. For the price, it is quite well-equipped. From a stop, uptake involves some hesitation. The voice commands aren’t great for navigation. And for setting up options the menu system is too complicated. On the highway, I can get around 36mpg. But I get about 22mpg in suburban driving. When speeding up the car hesitates. The lack of the knobs and middle console dial are annoying. The power and engine are as per my expectations. Behind the wheel, it is the most fun and enjoyable to drive.
