Chery Tiggo 2

The interior and exterior design of the Chery Tiggo 2 has been kept relatively simple and basic. The two variants come in seven attractive color options: Silver, White, Grey, Orange, Blue, Black, and Red. 

The interior has ample space with good legroom for easy accommodations. It has soft, comfortable seats which can easily fit five passengers. The cabin is all black with blue highlights on the AC vents, door panels, and the central console giving it an edgy look. 

The steering wheel is slightly different from those of other cars due to its three-spoke multifunction benefit and long vertical central boss, and uniquely situated dials. The rectangular sleek AC vents are situated at the top with a touchscreen infotainment system with a catchy piano black finish. The central console is tilted towards the driver, centered around him or her. 

The exterior, however, does not have a very eye-catching look. The design is daily basic, if not a little back-dated. 

The Chery Tiggo 2 is a crossover model, but its inclination is more towards an SUV due to the skid plate in front and all-over body cladding. The inclined bonnet comes with an angular grille out front with projector bulbs in the headlamps. The huge headlamps and daytime running lights make it look huge from the front. 

The rear, however, has a relatively simple design, with only the silver skid plates adding a little oomph to the overall look. 

The Chery Tiggo 2 has a lightweight steering wheel that helps you glide through city roads at ease. It promises compact dimensions with light handling. Thanks to the small size of the Tiggo, it is very easy to turn sharp corners and ride through tight sports on busy city roads. The automatic transmission offers smooth gear change and good performance.

However, the ride and handling are not that precise as to deliver an ultra-smooth performance. 

The Chery Tiggo 2 comes with a 1.5-litre, naturally aspirated, four-cylinder engine, which gives a decent yet powerful performance. Its maximum output is 106 PS with a peak torque of 135 Nm. It also comes with a 4-speed automatic gearbox which does not add much of a punch but does the job.

 The car's fuel efficiency is decent, with 7.5 km/ L in the city during busy hours and 10km / L when there is lesser traffic. On highways, it gives almost 15 km / L, which is slightly better. The figures are not that high, mainly due to the bulkiness of the Tiggo 2. 

Chery Tiggo has all the basic safety features you can hope for - hill hold control, electronic stability control, Anti-lock Braking System, EBD, dual airbags in the front, tire pressure monitoring system, and reverse parking sensors with cameras. 

The Chery Tiggo 2 might not be the most attractive looking SUV in the market, but if looks are not your main concern, the Tiggo is a great car. With its practical features, good ride, and handling, it is one of the best cars in the market for a daily commute.
