Chery Tiggo 7 Pro

The Tiggo 7 Pro's interior is a spacious and well-appointed cabin decked out in a mixture of upholstered cloth, molded plastic, and luxurious leather. The 7 Pro's power-adjustable seats provide excellent back support, offering ample legroom and headroom for both front and rear passengers. Rear seating can be folded down in a 60/40 split to create additional cargo space, making the Tiggo 7 Pro a very practical choice. 

The dashboard comes fully equipped with a mix of ergonomically-situated analog and digital controls. Its focal point is the 10.5-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system-slash-instrument cluster offers a wide range of features and is fully compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It even comes with voice control capabilities. The Pro 7 also comes with additional aesthetic and practical touches like ambient interior lighting, wireless charging pads, climate control, and a panoramic sunroof for the Hybrid trim.

The Chery Tiggo 7 Pro's exterior strikes a perfect balance between classy and sporty, with a front fascia distinguished by a strong, eye-catching geometrically patterned diamond grille that gives the SUV a commanding presence. This grille is flanked by sleek, extended LED headlights with daytime running lights for improved visibility and a touch of refinement. The sculpted hood has significant character lines that run into the A-pillars, adding to the 7 Pro's aerodynamic silhouette.

The Pro 7's high sides, sloping roofline, and additional character lines provide a sensation of movement, while the large wheel arches that house its 18-inch alloy wheels give it just the right commandeering touch. The Pro 7 is available in six different colors: Ice White, Jewel Blue, Radiant Green, Lava Red, Obsidian Black, and Brilliant Silver.

Both the standard and Hybrid Pro 7s are oriented towards comfort rather than sportiness, despite its aesthetic. The Pro 7 is therefore ideal for daily commutes, city driving, and the occasional offroad excursions; but one shouldn’t expect sharp handling or race car-quality performance out of this vehicle.  

The Chery Tiggo 7 Pro offers two engine options, both centered around a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine:

The standard variant, which is paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) that simulates nine gear ratios, delivers a capable 145 HP with 210 Nm of torque; and the Hybrid – a 48-volt mild-hybrid system paired with a belt starter generator (BSG) and the standard CVT, which provides slightly higher performance at 156 HP, and 230 Nm of torque. While the Hybrid variant is the most fuel-efficient, but both options are geared towards fuel efficiency and lengthy mileage.

Both trims come with the standard safety features found on all modern vehicles, although the Hybrid trim does a far more comprehensive suite of safety features than the standard trim. The Pro 7 is rated 5 stars by the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP), masking its safety suite as top-of-the-line.
