Ferrari F8 Spider

Moving in, the interior of the F8 Spider gets its most significant update in the form of a new upgrade. Now, buyers can have an accurate look at their speed with a Passenger Display. Besides the new update, the insides are largely dominated by a central rev counter that is paired with a digital gear display. 

The interiors of the F8s conveniently designed interior give it a refreshing view with subordinate screens on either side. However, the low ride height, when compared with the conventional driving position, and overall support, looks pretty appealing for a supercar.

Being the drop-top variant of the F8 Tributo, the F8 Spider carries a similar resemblance inside out. The car is accompanied by a similar set of LED headlights that are complemented with an S-duct on either side. The S-duct was first noticed in the Pista. The car presents users with strong lines that run across the exterior of the car, presenting a sharper and improved overall exterior design. 

To add to the looks, the automaker has induced their offering with complex grilles, and ducts which provide the vehicle with a subtle lip spoiler. Interestingly, the car also features a larger intake on either side. Complementing the sporty looks of the car are 20-inch wheels. In the rear, the car resonates with standard Ferrari styling where its taillights are highlighted with a quad layout.

Talking of the ride and handling, the F8 Spider is nothing when compared to its looks, the car is appealingly fast but comfortable and smooth to handle at the same time. The Hypercar remains comfortable at top speeds and the responsive handling gives out the much lighter and convenient drive, no matter how steep the turn. Overall, the car is fun to drive and the response time for both transmission and braking has improved significantly over time. 

The F8 Spider carries over the 488’s aluminium chassis. The automaker seems to have invested heavily in upgrading the performance of the engine. While the car retains a 3.9L twin-turbo V8, the Spider has shed an overall weight of 18kg, adding to the power output by 50 hp. 

In terms of its performance, the F8 Spider, with all its upgrades, pulls out a 710 hp of power, besides giving out up to 770 Nm of peak torque from the V8. 

The Ferrari F8 Spider is equipped with Anti-lock brakes, giving it a reliable braking experience. Further, the safety features of the car include Front-impact airbags, Side-impact airbags, Rear Parking Sensors, Tire Specific Low Tire Pressure Warning, Dual Stage Driver and Passenger Front Airbags w/Passenger Off Switch, and Back-Up Camera among others. 

The Ferrari F8 Spider is certainly a car that is for a dedicated customer base. The car, as we said earlier, is a revamped 488 but faster and more aggressive. The car is fun to drive and brings out the finest of the automaker. However, its price and size might not be a taste for all.
