The Ford Expedition goes by its name when it comes to the cabin. The driver’s console, dashboard, and the center stack are amazingly done. The 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel has a lot of control buttons. The console behind it looks futuristic and offers a lot of information.

The boxy feel of the dashboard looks excellent, especially the large touchscreen infotainment system. The centre console is all covered up and has a couple of round knobs and controls. The storage spaces are very significant and are covered up.

Moreover, the highest-configured model even gets LTE-connected entertainment screens for the rear occupants as well. There are two sunroofs for the front and rear row respectively.

The Ford Expedition looks like a muscular beast from the outside. The large front hood and the mesh grille make the SUV look like a giant in the making. The headlamps are very different than what modern-day cars mostly have, they look chunky and join the blacked-out mesh grille. There is a black skirting on the lower profile of the car, including the sides.

The top-end trim with a bigger engine drives on 20-inch aluminum wheels, which are sturdy and lightweight and offer a lot of stability. There is a sunroof as well, which shoots the value of the SUV higher.

The Ford Expedition feels premium from all ends and the driver will love to handle the steering and the throttle. With such a lot of power and torque on offer, the accelerator is bliss to operate. The car excels in a straight light power delivery, where it can reach the triple digits in just the blink of an eye.

And then comes the stability on corners, which is handled by the big wheels, long travel ground clearance, and suspension. Entering and exiting corners won’t make you feel insecure with the Expedition SUV. And needless to say, the comfort inside the cabin is just an extension of the amazing ride quality that the SUV offers.

The Ford Expedition is presently offered in two engine tune but with the same displacement. The base version of the 3.6-litre V6 engine produces a maximum power of 375 hp at 5,000 rpm while churning out a peak torque of 637 Nm.

The higher tuning of the engine produces 400 hp of power and a peak torque of 650 Nm. Both the power and torque come at the same RPM limits. As for the transmission, there is a 10-speed SelectShift automatic gearbox doing the duties in both the engine variants.

The Ford Expedition takes care of all the safety parameters that users might need from a high range SUV. It gets disc brakes for all the wheels, along with the addition of an anti-lock braking system and electronic brakeforce distribution.

The safety settings inside the cabin include a host of SRS airbags and a 3-point seat belt for all the occupants. The anti-theft system, post-crash alert, and rear vide camera are all complementary in this car.

The Ford Expedition is as great as any car from luxury automakers in the price bracket. It has loads of features on offer and does not compromise in any aspect. However, a lot of buyers might still feel that the car is slightly more expensive than it should have been. But once you own one and start driving it, you will realize that the premium price attracts a lot of value.
