Underwhelming performance during long trips
I have a great admiration for hybrid vehicles and have been driving them for years. Recently, I purchased Great Wall Haval Menglong PHEV expecting something more efficient. Unfortunately, it has left me disappointed as the fuel economy is not as per my expectations. Despite being marketed as a hybrid, I’m not happy with its mileage. The combined range fails to hit the high marks of many of the rivals in the segment. Additionally, I find the electric-only range to be a bit limited. It works well for short trips, but the gas engine kicks in way too often and the battery drains quickly.
