Hyundai Ioniq 5 N Review

Hyundai Ioniq 5 N Overview
The Philippine market is now home to the eagerly awaited Hyundai Ioniq 5 N. Following an early 2023 announcement of its impending arrival, and with rumors circulating among car fans since late 2022, the Ioniq 5 N made its official premiere at the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) in March of this year. Being among the first performance-oriented electric cars available in the Philippines, it is rapidly becoming well-known. The top model in Hyundai's EV series, the N model is a far cry from the earlier Ioniq models.
This car is not cheap, with a market price of 4.250 million PHP and restricted supply at that! But its premium amenities more than make up for it. The new Hyundai Ioniq 5 N ought to allay any concerns you may have about performance if you find yourself on the fence about acquiring an EV. The engineering, performance, and precision concentration with a "sportscar" lean may well make this car worth its weight in gold.

Hyundai Ioniq 5 N Interior
The Ioniq 5 N's interior, which adheres to the "racecar" concept of Hyundai's N-line, resembles a literal cockpit and promotes a more immersive driving experience. Its sporty-appearing bolstered seats include an elegant yet functional blend of leather and Alcantara inlays, and its leather-wrapped steering wheel with metallic accents is designed to improve handling and grip.
Additionally, the Ioniq 5 N has two touchscreen digital displays that function as the instrument cluster and touchscreen media system, all of which are easily accessible to the driver. Since the 5 N opted for a simple steel-grey color scheme and toned down the overall appearance, the cabin isn't particularly noteworthy overall.

Hyundai Ioniq 5 N Exterior
When compared to Hyundai's previous generations, the Ioniq 5 N represents a significant redesign, opting for a marginally more robust expression than the older Ioniq model. This reflects the design's focus on performance. Despite appearing stodgier overall, the car gains a sense of stability and presence from its 20mm lower seating position and 50mm broader overall girth than the previous generations. Hyundai may have wanted it to have a sportier appearance, but from some perspectives, especially with its longer, more aerodynamically inclined rear spoiler, it appears more "industrialist."
The broader wheel arches, which are equipped with 21-inch alloy wheels and Pirelli P-Zero tires, are the real focal point of this setup. Not one to hide its achievements, the Ioniq 5-N also sports a characteristic bright-orange trim throughout, which contrasts sharply with the gorgeous electric blue basic body, as well as the N-line emblem and model name on the front grille and rear tailgate.

Hyundai Ioniq 5 N Ride & Handling
The Ioniq 5 N strikes a fantastic combination of functionality and comfort, offering the highest level of performance and maneuverability without having to compromise on comfort when driving. Whether you want to try the car on the track or just on the road, the extended wheelbase, N Grin Control System, and dual-motor electric drivetrain all work in unison to give you the best of both worlds.
-
Hyundai Ioniq 5 N Engine & Fuel Consumption
The Ioniq 5 N's all-wheel-drive (AWD) dual electric motor drivetrain replaces the conventional engine and its dependency on gasoline and fossil fuels. It has a massive 84 kWh battery pack with a fast-charge 800V architecture that makes recharging simple, rapid, and efficient. It can produce 641 horsepower and 740 Nm of torque.
The Ioniq 5 N uses a single-speed reduction gear instead of a traditional gearbox to efficiently supply the necessary power to all of its wheels. The Ioniq 5 N shares the same N Grin Boost technology as the majority of Hyundai's N-line vehicles, which increases speed when accelerating, passing, or traveling at high speeds.
-
Hyundai Ioniq 5 N Braking & Safety
The Ioniq 5 N doesn't compromise on security. Thanks to its extensive driver-assistance module, which comes equipped with a standard suite of airbags, blind spot monitoring, driver aid protocols, great lighting (some of which are automatic!), and other features, you can rest easy knowing that the Ioniq 5 N doesn't just provide peak efficiency in driving, but also guarantees absolute safety.
-
Hyundai Ioniq 5 N Verdict
The performance-focused appeal of the Ioniq N 5, along with its electric nature, may make it the preferred choice for individuals who want a ‘greener’ approach to driving or are otherwise technologically proficient. Car aficionados will also feel right at home with this new offering, despite its fairly high price tag.
