Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid Overview
Ever since its debut in 2017, the Hyundai Ioniq series has been gaining steady popularity amongst the fans of hybrid vehicles. With its updated features and familiar hatchback body, Hyundai released its latest addition to its family of trusted and most efficient vehicles, the 2020 Hyundai Ioniq.
Hyundai had made several changes to the Ioniq series’ hybrid technology ever since its release and even added a plug-in-hybrid model in its lineup in 2018. In the year 2019 on the other hand, they introduced new features like the driver-attention monitor and automatic high-beam headlights - which is why there’s no wonder that the Philippine market has been raving about it since its introduction in the country.
With these innovations, they have been leading the EPA’s charts as one of the most efficient vehicles. Not to mention they’re also the world’s first automobile to be available in hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and all-electric variants.
The 2020 Ioniq is available in the three plug-ins stated above and in four different models. This provides not just the numerous standard technology features present in hybrids but also an immense fuel economy, adequate infotainment, and a very generous warranty with it.
This car is available in one trim only which is the Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid 1.6 GLS 6DCT and is priced at P 1.55 million with 9 available colors namely: Phantom Black, Fiery Red, Polar White, Mariana Blue, Platinum Silver, Phoenix Orange, Demitasse Brown, Iron Gray, and Aurora Silver.

Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid Interior
Hyundai focused more on the affordability of the Ioniq 2020 than grandeur which is probably why you wouldn’t be able to see luxury leather seats inside the car expected on a Hybrid. On the other side, Ioniq’s interior is also made of eco-friendly materials, including surfaces made of wood, raw sugar cane, and volcanic stone which is a great deal in helping the environment.
It also has a nice-looking cabin with more than enough space for the driver and decent legroom too. However, with all the space given in the first row, there’s only limited space for the head and legroom in the rear.
On a lighter note, you can now upgrade the intuitive 8-inch touch screen to 10.25 inch featured in their basic infotainment system which is subtle yet very convenient. It also has electrically adjustable seats It also comes with dual climate control, smartphone charging points, and user-friendly, well-sorted cockpit which is just straightforward but perfectly functional.

Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid Exterior
Although simple-looking, the 2020 version boasts a brand new mesh-type grille with its new front and rear fascia. Its sleek LED headlamps with blue tinge depict the look of Hyundai’s hybrid technology as it also matches the whole aura of the cars’ hood.
You may notice that the car’s designers were able to successfully blend the Hyundai badge with the front grille without actually distinguishing the badge’s plastic from the grille. The famous Hyundai badge actually houses the safety sensors of the car so this is by far a really amazing design feature. The air ducts around the corners of the front fascia are embellished with LED lights, thus, giving the Ioniq a sporty aura.
Meanwhile, the rear looks graceful with its roof slopes upon the trunk. The transparent glass pane on the upper part of the trunk door can’t go unnoticed as it adds to the overall beauty of the car while also ensuring that the driver gets the ample visibility he needs in the rear. On top of this, is a beautiful set of LED tail-lights that completes the whole amazing exterior package.
