Veloster’s cabin space can be judged as plush and pleasing but can still be improved. It features an 8-inch display with Radio and RDS that is set as “floating” on top of the dashboard for optimal viewing. The infotainment system is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless audio playback and app integration.

As for comfort and convenience, it employs a fully automatic air-conditioning system and power-adjustable seats for the driver. Driving information is also not a problem with this car through its two analog meters with a digital display at the center.

Other interior features include power side mirrors with electric folding, power door locks, power windows, front map lamps with sunglass case, and a rear parking camera.

The big brawny front face with a huge hexagonal grille makes the Veloster appear more sporty and aggressive. Its LED headlamps cluster is very sleek-looking and from its look, it was really crafted to suffice the overall angst of its design. Looking at the rear, you will find a skid plate, roof spoiler, and twin round exhaust tips.

Its design is considered unconventional because of the asymmetric four-door layout and that actually makes it stand out from the rest of its fellows in the same segment. Veloster is 4240 mm long, 1800 mm wide, and 1409 mm tall with a ground clearance of 151 which can be relatively quite low for a sports car-pegged auto.

As for the lighting system, it employs daytime running lights, LED tail lamps with High Mount Stop Lamp for the rear spoiler, and side repeaters for the side mirrors.

This car is available in 10 body colors which are Dark Knight, Phantom Black, Chalk White, Lake Silver, Ignite Flame, Gray, Tangerine Comet, Thunder Bolt, Ice Storm, and Shooting Star.

This car is offered with different drive modes namely Normal, Eco, Smart, and Sport. It features a Motor-Driven Power Steering with Flex Steer and Audio Remote, Bluetooth, and Cruise Controls. The steering can be considered as tighter and sharp which allows the car to turn effectively.

While the transmission system works smoothly, the power delivery can be quite a problem because it is not as punchy as expected from its turbocharged engine. The NVH or Noise, Vibration, and Harshness insulation is quite a turn-off as well especially when you hit the 60 kmph mark. The front suspension is equipped with MacPherson Struts and Multi-link for the rear. Both NVH insulation and suspension can be further improved for better ride and handling.

This car is equipped with a 1591cc 1.6-liter Gamma Turbocharged Gasoline Direct Injection engine that can fire up to 204 PS at 6000 revs per minute and 265 Nm maximum torque at 1500 rpm. It shifts gears through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission or DTC with steering wheel-mounted paddle-shifters.

It has an estimated fuel efficiency of 30 mpg for combined city and highway set-up and has a EURO-4 compliant emission rating.

It employs Discs for both front and rear brakes with Anti-Lock Braking System, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution or EBD, and Brake Assist. Apart from the standard airbags, it also has an immobilizer, child seat anchor with ISOFIX, rear parking assist system, rear camera with dynamic guidelines, and smart key with illuminated push-button start.

Another good thing about this car is that it has a blind spot monitoring system so the driver can conveniently and safely maneuver anytime.

With its price tag, it’s pretty decent for this car to have only a few advanced tech features. But, when it comes to driving performance, fuel economy, and safety, this can be an ideal car already for someone who is looking for a reliable four-wheeled buddy for a daily commute.
