On the inside too, the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited has been tweaked significantly with new-age features and better quality leather and plastics, which surely have uplifted the ambiance of the cabin very much.

The three-spoke multi-functional steering wheel with broad spokes pod-like theme for the instrument console, with round AC vents flanking the console, make it look very focused. The 7-inch colour panel in between the instrument console is a fresh addition.

The centre console of the dashboard too has been heavily revised with a new squared touchscreen infotainment system, which gets black surrounds and round AC vents on either sides. The heavy-looking panels for air conditioner and drive mode controls uplift the visual appeal of the cabin even more. The entire cabin can be wet washed too, in case if you wish to go out for proper off-road driving with panels open.

The presence of all the premium features does make it feel plush and top-notch, and while it can seat five passengers with ease, there is a slight shortage of legroom at the back. 

The original design of the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited has become legendary in all these years. The off-road squared design, with traditional Jeep bits, does make it look stand out from the crowd. The latest iteration of the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, with all the modern updates it has received, looks even more desirable and funky.

The ohh-so-familiar seven slat front grille with round headlamps still grace the front look of the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. However, now the headlamps get full LED treatment. The rugged-looking front bumper, with small round fog lamps, adds to the butch personality of the SUV. The front edge of the fender arches over the wheels now incorporate daytime running LEDs. 

Moving towards the side profile, the squared stance of the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is well complemented by flat design for the door panels, angular A-pillar flared and blackened wheel arches, and tough-looking 33-inch tyres. The hardtop option makes the Wrangler Unlimited look complete.

At the back, the squared approach has been very well carried out for the tail lamps as well, which now feature new LED inserts. The rectangular windscreen with the large spare wheel mounted on the back reflects its go-anywhere capability.

With an incredible off-road-oriented mechanical package under its skin, the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is one extremely capable vehicle for rough terrains. The SUV is equipped with a full-time four-wheel-drive system, which do get good assistance from electronic locking differentials, sway bar disconnect, and low range transfer case.

The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited can be had with two petrol engine options - a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine which makes 273 PS of power and 400 Nm of torque, and a 3.6-litre V6 engine which generates 288 PS of power and 353 Nm of torque. Both engines are available with an 8-speed automatic gearbox as standard.

Being a premium and niche vehicle, the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is equipped with a plethora of safety features, which include a front, side and curtain airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, electronic stability control, traction control, rear park assist, blind-spot monitoring system, and rear cross-path detection.

With a great mechanical package that is equipped with all the perfect off-road driving aids and a powerful set of engine options, the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is one niche off-road vehicle. The latest update with additional features, better build quality and fit and finish levels, additional rear doors, and safety equipment do make it a much more desirable and practical vehicle than ever before.
