Porsche 911 Overview
The new Porsche 911 is a homage of the design concept that dates back for more than 50 years when father and son duo Ferry Porsche and Ferdinand Alexander created a sports car that has now become an icon. The current generation 911 is a “reflection of the past and a vision of the future” with its iconic silhouette, timeless design, connective features, and state-of-the-art technology. The current Porsche 911 comes in several models and trims. There are also tons of customizable selection from exterior paint and interior color scheme, to seat fabrics, rims, and engines, that you can build your own luxury sports car according to your design preferences.

Porsche 911 Interior
Step inside this posh Porsche car and it oozes comfort and premium luxury. From the interior leather details that cover everything from the steering wheel to the expanse of the dashboard, to the plush seats and door trims, everything here screams luxury. The instrument cluster highlights the analog rev counter which is in between two 7-inch HD displays that shows other pertinent car information. On the center of the dashboard and in direct line of sight with the instrument cluster is the 10.9-inch HD touchscreen display that features the Porsche Connect app— the digital interface to the Porsche which gives access to helpful services like navigation, locator service, and is Apple CarPlay compatible. The infotainment system is partnered to a 12 speaker and amplifier BOSE surround system to complete the mood of your drive.

Porsche 911 Exterior
Simply catching a glimpse of the rear of the 911, and you’ll know it’s a Porsche. The iconic flyline has been a characteristic of the first-ever 911. The rear windshield appears to be extended thanks to the black tailgate grille that highlights the narrow red light strip that links the three-dimensional LED taillights. At the front, the eight-generation Porsche 911 pays recognition to the first 911 models through the design of the hood with its creases and bulging fenders and the shape and position of the headlights. The horizontal air intake is not just for aesthetic but also functional as it adds ventilation and optimizes aerodynamics.

Porsche 911 Ride & Handling
With so much power under the rear hood, driving this sports car is an adrenalin rush. But with power comes added technology for control, stability, and agility of the vehicle. The Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC), for instance, is a roll stabilization system while the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) adjusts the damping force on all four wheels based on the road conditions and driving style for better handling. Add to that the rear-axle steering and suspension system that makes for a smooth and cushioned ride.

Porsche 911 Engine & Fuel Consumption
The Porsche 911 Carrera and Carrera 4 models are powered by a 3.0-liter 6-cylinder twin-turbo engine that delivers 385 PS of maximum output at 6,500 rpm and 450 Nm of peak torque at 1,950 – 5,000 rpm. The 911 Carrera S and 4S models are powered by an even more impressive 3.0-liter 6-cylinder twin-turbo engine that generates 450 PS of maximum output and 530 Nm of peak torque. The engines are mated to an 8-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission which is a combination of the original quick shift but with enhanced packaging and greater torque production. The 911 is available in both rear-wheel and all-wheel drive options. The Porsche 911 Carrera and Carrera 4 models can go from zero to 100 kmph in just 4.2 seconds but with Sport Chrono Package, it can do the same in 4 seconds flat. The top speed for these Porsche sportscars is 293 kmph. The 911 Carrera S and 4S models do better when accelerating, going from zero to 100 kmph in just 3.6 seconds but with the additional Sport Chrono Package, this sweet ride can go from idle to 100 kmph in a mere 3.4 seconds with top speed at 306 kmph. What’s best about these engines is that even at low speeds, this luxury sports car remains very responsive and retains its excellent performance. And since the engine is mounted closer to the center of the vehicle, there’s a notable improvement in terms of stability and minimized vibration for a cushioned ride quality.

Porsche 911 Braking & Safety
Besides the basic seatbelts, side-impact beams, and airbags, the Porsche 911 comes with tons of driver assistance systems. Worth mentioning is the Porsche Stability Management (PSM) that improves traction using the automatic brake differential (ABD) and anti-slip regulation (ASR) to maintain a high level of driving stability and safety. Another is the Porsche wet mode that assists drivers when driving in inclement weather and the night vision assists that uses an infrared camera to detect pedestrians or wildlife that goes beyond the range of the headlights. Also worth mentioning are the collision and brake assist that uses both visual and audible cues to alert the driver of the risk of collision, lane-keeping assist with traffic sign recognition, lane change assist with turn assist, park assist with surround view, and reversing camera. And just because it is a sports car, it doesn’t mean that it’s not child friendly. The 911 comes with ISOFIX child seat anchorage available on the front with the option to deactivate the front passenger airbag.
