Subaru BRZ

The interior of the Subaru BRZ may be visually similar to a Toyota 86 but it also features some distinct attributes that set it apart from the latter. One of those is its infotainment system highlighted by a 6.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. 

Subaru BRZ is clad with high-quality leather trim and Alcantara inserts. It is also loaded with a powerful 6 speaker audio system, a dual-zone air conditioning system, and heated front seats for added convenience. Its high-class steering wheel covered with leather trim for a better grip is also accompanied by a lowered seating position for an outstanding driving experience. As for the instrument cluster, it features a multifunction display with vehicle performance information.

It has a decent boot space capacity of 243 liters which can be expanded further if rear seats will be folded.

Other exterior features of the BRZ includes headlamp washers, LED tail lamps, power-folding door mirrors, rear fog lamp, shark fin antenna, and twin tail mufflers.

The BRZ is also equipped with Torsen Limited Slip Differential for better cornering. It can detect excess torque that is being sent to the wheel with less traction then delivers it to the opposite one. It employs MacPherson Strut and Double Wishbone for front and rear suspensions, respectively. 

BRZ’s gorgeous tilt-adjustable and telescopic steering wheel with cruise control allows terrific balance and high-fidelity steering as well for better driving performance.

BRZ’s engine is placed 460mm above the ground and was designed to be flat for the lowest gravity in order to deliver incredible balance, control, and handling. It is equipped with a Direct and Port Fuel Injection, Horizontally Opposed, 1998 cc 4-Cylinder, DOHC 16-Valve, Petrol Engine that can fire up to 200 Ps at 7,000 rpm and 205 Nm torque at 6,400 to 6,600 revs per minute. 

Shifting gears can be done through a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. The manual trim has a fuel economy of 7.8 litre per 100 km and 7.1 litre per 100 km for the automatic. As for the speed, it as able to have a speed mark of 100 kmph in 8.2 seconds and a top speed of 210 kmph.

Its Japanese maker equipped the BRZ with ventilated disc brakes for both front and rear with brake assist for added safety. Among its safety features are SRS Airbags, 4-sensor and 4-channel Anti-Lock Braking System, Brake Override, Engine Immobiliser, Vehicle Stability Control with Track Mode, Emergency Stop Signal, ISOFIX Adapted Child Seat Anchors, Safety Pedal System, and Side Door Reinforcement Beams.

A decent price for a decent automobile with cool features and impressive design, Subaru BRZ is all about that. Although it may not be an ideal car for a family (even a small one), it can be good for bachelors, working girls, or those who have the heart for a sports car.
