The Evoltis' seven-seater interior is specifically designed with the needs of large families or groups in mind. With its blend of metal elements, leather upholstery, and soft-touch surfaces, it evokes a very cozy, if somewhat dated, feel. Its three-row seating arrangement, with heated front driver and second-row captain seats gives way to a surprisingly roomy third-row bench. Matched with a Lineartronic Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), it can provide continuous acceleration, although it sacrifices the sportier handling that would come with a dual-clutch transmission, but is suitable enough for the Evoltis's family-oriented design. The Evoltis is also equipped with the Subaru standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system which continuously distributes power to all four wheels for the best possible grip and handling, particularly in inclement weather or on uneven terrain.

The Evoltis has received top marks from organizations like the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) for its suite of driver and passenger safety features. Its extensive EyeSight suite of driver-assistance systems which includes adaptive cruise control, blind-spot recognition, lane departure warning, and pre-collision braking are all standard fare. Additional safety features include a driver concentration monitor, automated reverse braking, and rear cross-traffic alert.
