Our Avanza Experience

Our Experience with our Avanza is a mixture of highs and lows... Highs for affordability, reliability, and practicality. We purchased our Avanza in Dec 2017 before the excise tax was implemented and at that time it was the lowest priced RWD vehicle from Toyota. Ours is the J variant which is only a 5 seater. This became an advantage for us because the space vacated by the 3rd row it became useful for storage and even for lodging...:-) How...? There was a night when there was power outage and we can't sleep because it was so hot and humid so we folded down the 2nd row seat and we slept in our Avanza that night....:-) And it consumes just a minimum amount of fuel that night. The average fuel consumption of our Avanza is 10-11 Kmpl. On the other hand, the main shortcoming of our Avanza is its power if it is loaded and when climbing steep roads. Aside from that, we had and still have a great time with our Avanza. I would highly recommend it especially for young families who want space, good fuel economy, and reliability.
