Available in two trims across the Philippines, the engines on the Volkswagen Tiguan come in 1.4L TSI and a 2.0-litre TDI guise. Coming under the names of Trend & Fun and Sport & Style, both the variants are developed, keeping performance in mind.
The former variant of the Tiguan generates power from a 1.4L in-line, turbocharged fuel-injected petrol engine that is paired to BlueMotion Technology, giving out 120 hp of power, besides generating a peak torque of 200 Nm. The latter TDI diesel engine that is of 2.0L capacity, churns out a total of 138 hp of pure power while making a higher torque of 320 Nm at its peak. Both the available trims are mated a 6-speed DSG for improved performance and reduced fuel consumption.
