Aprilia RS660

Aprilia has given its potential buyers a top-notch cutting-edge design with sleek looks and charm. Equipped with the new triple LED headlamps, daytime running lights, and integrated aerodynamic features, the double faring design is here to impress. The Aprilia RS660 has a modern V4 inspired bodywork that is not only exotic but also lightweight. It has a new aluminium frame and swingarm with a light and compact engine which makes sure not to add any additional weight to the bike. It also sports a TFT digital instrumental panel with the much-loved ApriliaMIA infotainment system equipped with voice commands, call management, and navigation. It comes in only one variant but offers three bright colours- Lava Red, Apex Black, and the new Acid Gold.

The riding experience is enhanced with five riding modes. Three of these modes are for the street namely, Commute, Dynamic, and Individual. Commute is for everyday riding through city roads while Dynamic is for sports riding, and Individual mode offers customised settings.

The other two are for track usage namely Challenge and Time Attack. While the Challenge mode deals with on-track racing sessions, the Time Attack mode is included for experienced riders for the best track performance.

Another exciting feature is the six-axis inertial platform, which uses data of the rider to adjust to his needs and offer the best possible performance for on-track experience.

As Aprilia entered the midweight segment with the RS660, they successfully bridged the gap between their beginner model and the super sports model. The RS660 has taken note from the higher model and comes with a powerful 660cc parallel-twin, forward-facing, Euro 5 compliant, 4-stroke DOHC engine which gives out a power of 100 hp and 67 Nm of torque. 

This will ensure the RS660 races like the wind on free highways and gives the premium feel of a sports bike.

The fuel tank has a capacity of 15 Litres and promises an economic experience.

The braking system comes with a 320mm dual disc 4-piston Brembo calipers in the front, while the rear gets a 220mm disc 2-piston calipers from the same make. The rear is also equipped with mono-shock, and adjustable rebound while the front is equipped with a 41mm Kayaba fork and adjustable rebounds.

Aprilia had made sure the RS660 is a safe bike despite its promise for speed. The safety stats include ABS, pass switch, road and race riding modes, wheelie control, cruise control, side reflectors, traction control, and engine check warning.
