Aprilia Tuono 660

The Aprilia Tuono 660 is based on the bigger Tuono V4 in terms of design, which is one of the most distinctive-looking motorcycles currently on sale. The Tuono 660 looks unique and edgy, which is a perfect recipe for a motorcycle that is engineered for aggressive riding.

To complete the sportiness towards the front, the Aprilia Tuono 660 also comes with sharp-looking cowls ahead of the engine, which cover the radiator shrouds as well. The motorcycle comes with a stubby exhaust can with a triangular design for its tip, which along with the frame and rear swingarm, are finished in a theme of grey. The red-coloured alloy wheels of the motorcycle further make the motorcycle look even sportier.

The Aprilia Tuono 660 gets a split seat arrangement, with both rider’s and pillion’s seats finished in different shades. This console shows cool-looking layouts for speedometer, tachometer, odometer, trip meters, selected riding mode, gear indicator, temperature gauge, fuel gauge and clock. This console sits within a pentagonal housing which has an array of warning lights on the sides and above the instrument console. The Tuono 660 comes with a sophisticated suspension setup of Kayaba 41 mm upside-down fork with top-out springs at the front and asymmetrical aluminium swingarm with mono-shock having an adjustable extension and spring preload at the back. This suspension combination makes the Aprilia Tuono 660 a smooth and flawless motorcycle to ride at faster speeds and around the corners. The motorcycle rides on 120/70 ZR17 front tyre and 180/55 ZR7 rear tyre and is armed with dual 320mm discs at the front and a single 220mm disc at the back.

The Aprilia Tuono 660 shares its four-stroke, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin, 659cc engine with its faired sibling, the RS 660. Paired to a 6-speed gearbox, this smooth and high-revving engine pumps out a maximum power output of 94.4 PS and a peak torque output of 67 Nm. These figures make the 659cc engine of the Tuono 660 the most powerful among 650cc twin-cylinder naked roadsters available on the market today. The riders can choose from five different modes – three for urban riding and two customizable modes for track riding.

Giving a right tribute to the Tuono nameplate, the Aprilia Tuono 660 is packed with best-in-class electronic riding aids and a safety package. The motorcycle comes equipped with a dual-channel ABS, traction control, wheelie control, engine brake, engine mapping, cruise control and the five riding modes discussed above.
