CFMoto 300SR Review

CFMoto 300SR Overview
Based on the CF Moto 250SR’s basic engineering prowess and design, the CF Moto 300SR is a radically designed fully-faired motorcycle with the visual appeal and riding dynamics of a proper middleweight motorcycle. In the Philippines, the CF Moto 300SR is being offered in two different sporty looking paint schemes of black and blue.

CFMoto 300SR Design
There is hardly any major differentiator in the styling of the CF Moto 300SR from its lower-powered version, the CF Moto 250SR. The super aggressive fully-faired design looks incredibly radical, thus giving it a great road presence and making it much larger than its similar spec motorcycles.
The front profile of the CF Moto 300SR greets one with its rounded front fairing, which has nicely sculpted housings for the slim dual LED headlamps, which are differentiated by a long Y-shaped panel that flows all the way towards the visor at the top. The side edges of this transparent visor have rearview mirrors mounted on them.
From the sides, the CF Moto 300SR looks beefy and bulbous, thanks to a multi-layered theme for the panels of the side fairing. This side fairing has its upper layer finished in faux carbon fiber theme, while the lower part is garnished by bold body decals. The fuel tank is one of the racist looking aspects of this motorcycle, which help in carving a committed riding posture with its tapering down design and rounded shape.
There is a fine layer of sleek looking body cowl that flows all the way from the upper edge of the side fairing towards the stubby and high mounted tail section. The slightly exposed trellis frame through the side fairing panels look purposeful and adds a bit of visual drama to the design as well. The motorcycle is blessed with split seats, with the tailpiece having a small pillion perch accommodated on it, which is neither too roomy nor too comfortable due to its high mount. The backward section of the tailpiece has a nice wide LED tail lamp recessed in it, which makes way for a long rear fender around it.
From the rider’s point of view, the CF Moto 300SR looks pretty futuristic with the presence of clip-on handlebars and a full TFT colored rectangular instrument console. This instrument panel gets cool looking multiple display modes, with digital readouts for speedometer, tachometer, odometer, trip meters, fuel gauge, temperature gauge, gear indicator, MID, clock, selected ride mode, and phone connectivity options.

CFMoto 300SR Ride & Handling
The CF Moto 300SR is a proper fully-faired super-sport motorcycle when it comes to its ergonomics, which are quite committed in nature, thanks to low positioned clip-on handlebars and rear-set footpegs. While this riding setup makes riding the CF Moto 300SR very enjoyable and thrilling, it is not too comfortable for longer durations or road trips. Helping matters in making the riding dynamics more enjoyable are the inverted 37mm hydraulic front forks and adjustable rear monoshock. Equipped with disc brakes at both ends, the CF Moto 300SR shares its wheels and tires with its naked counterpart, the 300NK.
-
CFMoto 300SR Engine & Fuel Consumption
The CF Moto 300SR has a four-stroke, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, 292cc engine as its heart, which has been shared with the 300NK and is basically a bored-out version of the engine of the 250NK. Mated to a 6-speed gearbox, this engine is punchy enough to produce a maximum power output of 29.2 PS and a peak torque output of 25.3 Nm.
-
CFMoto 300SR Braking & Safety
With three different ride modes and a dual-channel ABS as part of the standard equipment list, the CF Moto 300SR is one of the safest entry-level performance-oriented motorcycles. Apart from that, it gets some additional bits like an engine kill switch and backlit switchgear.
-
CFMoto 300SR Verdict
The CF Moto 300SR mightily impresses with its sporty stance and fluidic bodywork, which makes it look much larger than what it actually is and command an impressive road presence even at standstill. While the riding dynamics are not too urban-friendly in terms of comfort, but when it comes to pure riding experience like handling and cornering, the CF Moto 300SR’s committed riding posture plays its part pretty well.
