CFMoto 650 MT

The CF Moto 650 MT might not be having the futuristic essence in its design as the rest of the motorcycles from its parent company. However, it is the understated elegance and big bike appeal and dimensions of the CF Moto 650 MT which make it look very appealing and gives it a strong road presence reminiscent of other middleweight motorcycles.

At the front, the CF Moto 650 MT gets a vertically stacked V-shaped headlamp assembly, which comprises of an LED projector at the top and a halogen bulb just below it. There are angular shrouds on either side of the headlamp, which make the front fascia of the motorcycle look quite aggressive.

At the top of the headlamp assembly sits a large transparent visor, and to facilitate lower wind blasts at higher speeds, there are two smaller transparent visors on either sides of the main tall visor. The side portion of the front semi-fairing extends towards the rather slimmer looking fuel tank, and houses the rectangular LED turn indicators into the lower front edges of them. The wraparound theme for the tubular engine and fairing guard makes the bike look even bigger.

The blackened finish for the swooping and slim side body panels flow towards the rear and have faux carbon fiber finished vertical panels below them, placed just behind the engine. Below the engine sits the underbelly stubby exhaust pipe, with it also getting a small cowl at the front of it.

The tailpiece of the CF Moto 650 MT looks quite broad and has a rising upward design, with it having mounts for the very usable split pillion grab rails and full single piece curved long seat. Given its touring theme, the sides of the tailpiece also have rectangular mounts for additional panniers and a long tail fender, which gets LED turn indicators mounted on them.

The CF Moto 650 MT gets a very unique looking fully digital instrument console, but unlike its other stablemates, it is not a TFT colored unit. Instead, this blue backlit unit is divided into two panels, with the left rounded unit having a digital speedometer and tachometer and the right rectangular panel having readouts for gear indicator, odometer, trip meters, engine temperature and clock.

The CF Moto 650 MT is easily the most comfortable motorcycle to ride in the entire lineup of motorcycles from the company. The suspension combination of the motorcycle, with upside-down hydraulic telescopic forks at the front and a retractable monoshock at the back, have been tuned on a softer side, which does help the CF Moto 650 MT in being a very comfortable long-distance machine on two wheels. Riding on 17-inch wheels at both the ends, the CF Moto 650 MT is bestowed with dual petal disc brakes at the front and a single petal disc brake at the rear.

The CF Moto 650 MT shares its four-stroke, inline twin, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, 649.3cc engine with the other two 650cc motorcycles from CF Moto, the 650 GT and 650 NK. Paired to a 6-speed gearbox, the engine in the CF Moto 650 MT is tuned slightly differently from the other two bikes for a more usable low-end power, with the engine making 61 PS of maximum power and 56 Nm of maximum torque.

The CF Moto 650 MT, being one of the most premium motorcycles from CF Moto, is equipped with a couple of goodies in this department, which include a dual-channel ABS and three different ride modes to choose from while on the go. However, given the competition, a few more electronic riding aids would have been appreciated.

The CF Moto 650 MT is one good motorcycle if one wishes to clock many kilometers with an effortless experience, given how comfortable its overall suspension setup and ergonomics are. For a middleweight motorcycle, the CF Moto 650 MT is also equipped quite decently with premium features, making it a great value for the price it asks.
