Ducati Hypermotard 950 Overview
With the Hypermotard 950, Ducati aims to offer a perfect combination of a powerful naked roadster and a dual-purpose motorcycle in a single modernized package. The Ducati Hypermotard 950 promises to be one fun-to-ride motorcycle by having the characteristics of both motorcycle types. In the Philippines, the Ducati Hypermotard 950 has been made available in just one color option of Ducati Red.

Ducati Hypermotard 950 Design
The Ducati Hypermotard 950 is one balance between the styling ethos of a traditional naked roadster and a modernized avatar of a dual-purpose motorcycle. The lean and sharp profile of the motorcycle is one perfect example of it. This motorcycle might not be an outright attention grabber like other Ducati motorcycles, but has a good road presence for a middleweight motorcycle.
Ducati has made the front profile of the Hypermotard 950 quite minimalist with a small trapezoidal headlamp with curved upper and lower edges and daytime running LEDs on its right and left edges. This headlamp looks compact between the small front visor above it and the high-mounted beak-shaped front fender attached to the bottom of it. This front fender comes integrated with air vents on its nose, which helps the motorcycle in high-speed aerodynamics. The handlebar gets crash guards, which come integrated with LED turn indicators in them.
The Ducati Hypermotard 950 has got a simple yet tastefully executed design on the side, with its lean design in its full glory here. The motorcycle gets a slim fuel tank with long knee recesses and pointy triangular tank extensions. The two-part trellis frame, with the main red frame and black sub-frame, hide the large black-themed engine. This large trellis frame serves as the side body panels, as the Hypermotard 950 gets none.
Towards the rear, the Ducati Hypermotard 950 gets dual under-seat exhausts besides the pillion seat. The motorcycle gets a long, flat, and inclined single-piece seat and triple-Y themed black alloy wheels. At the rear tip of the motorcycle is placed a small LED tail lamp. The single-sided swing-arm of the motorcycle makes the rear profile look even more glorious.
The Ducati Hypermotard 950 has an almost flat handlebar, which gets premium switchgear and has a rectangular full TFT-colored instrument console encased in an octagonal housing. This instrument console screen shows completely digital readouts for speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, temperature gauge, gear indicator, odometer, trip meters, and selected ride and power modes.

Ducati Hypermotard 950 Ride & Handling
It is where the Ducati Hypermotard 950 shines out completely. While the motorcycle is not an outright dual-purpose machine, the lean design, tall design, and high ground clearance give you an assuring feel over a conventional naked roadster.
The Ducati Hypermotard 950 has been armed with 45mm inverted hydraulic telescopic forks from Marzochhi and progressive linkage with adjustable spring preload and rebound damping Sachs mono-shock with aluminium single-sided swing-arm at the back. For the brakes, Ducati has employed dual 320mm discs at the front and a single 245mm disc at the rear.

Powering the Ducati Hypermotard 950 is a four-stroke, liquid-cooled, Testastretta 11-degree L-twin 937cc engine, which is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. With maximum power and torque outputs of 114 bhp and 96 Nm respectively, the Ducati Hypermotard 950 is one of the most powerful premium middleweight motorcycles in the country right now.
-
Ducati Hypermotard 950 Braking & Safety
For a premium middleweight motorcycle, the Ducati Hypermotard 950 is one well-equipped motorcycle when it comes to safety. The Hypermotard 950 gets Riding Modes, ABS Bosch Cornering, Ducati Slide by Brake, Ducati Traction Control (DTC) EVO, Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) EVO, Power Modes and ride by wire system.
