Ducati Panigale V2

The Ducati Panigale V2 looks exactly like the larger, more powerful Panigale V4, which is a good thing, given that it offers a big bike appeal and the premium looks of a litre-class motorcycle in a relatively less intimidating package. The beautifully sculpted design of the Ducati Panigale V2 is highly aerodynamic, making it a true modern supersport motorcycle of a high order.

The thoughtfully designed and aerodynamic front profile of the Ducati Panigale V2 has a twin headlamp setup, with LED projectors nestled in the triangular housings at the bottom of the front fascia. The projectors are accompanied by sleek daytime running LED strips above them, while the motorcycle also gets a curved and efficient transparent windscreen at the top. The side edges of this windscreen come attached with fairing-mounted rearview mirrors, which have LED turn indicators integrated into them.

The sense of efficient aerodynamics is visible in the side profile of the Ducati Panigale V2, which impresses with nice curves and hollow recesses for better cooling of the engine at higher RPMs and even low city riding speeds. The fuel tank of the motorcycle has a compact design, which though has comfortable recesses, accommodating even taller riders. The side panels of the fairing hide much of the silver-themed engine, with the Ducati Panigale V2 getting a stubby, single-sided exhaust pipe.

The taut appearance of the Ducati Panigale V2 continues towards the rear, with the curvaceous and floating tail section of the motorcycle having a sporty split seat setup. The highly-mounted pillion seat sits above the pointy tail section, which has hollows within its side curvy panels and a nicely-designed LED tail lamp between them. The Ducati Panigale V2 also gets a functional rear fender with LED turn indicators mounted on it, while also getting Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV Corsa soft compound tyres and a single-sided swingarm.

The rider’s cockpit of the Ducati Panigale V2 includes lower-set clip-on handlebars and a 4.3-inch full-TFT instrument console, which shows a host of data. For an optional extra amount, this TFT screen can also be equipped with Ducati Data Analyser+ with a GPS module, which displays a host of performance data on display like lap timers and acceleration timing recorders.

The Ducati Panigale V2 might be expensive for a supersport motorcycle, but considering the explosive performance and best-in-class hardware and electronic riding aids on offer, it justifies every penny spent on it.
