Ducati Scrambler Sixty2 Overview
The Ducati Scrambler Sixty2 is the motorcycle with which Ducati’s portfolio for motorcycles begins worldwide. The smallest model in the Scrambler lineup of motorcycles, the Ducati Scrambler Sixty2 is for those who want the big bike appeal of a Ducati Scrambler, but at a more affordable price range and usable power for urban riding. The Ducati Scrambler Sixty2 is available in the Philippines in a single colour shade of red with black.

Ducati Scrambler Sixty2 Design
Ducati deserves full marks for giving the Scrambler Sixty2 an appeal of a bigger middleweight motorcycle. The Ducati Scrambler Sixty2 looks the same as the bigger and more powerful Scrambler Icon, which works in its favour as a motorcycle with the genuine street cred of a proper and premium big bike. The overall design looks minimalist and clean, but given that it wears a Ducati badge, it commands a lot of attention.
At the front, the Ducati Scrambler Sixty2 has a rounded halogen headlamp flanked with a clear lens halogen turn indicator. While we would have loved to see a full LED headlamp here, Ducati has given this motorcycle an LED daytime running light, which runs around the circumference of the headlamp. Just like the bigger Scrambler, this motorcycle also gets a small and chopped-style front fender.
The side profile of the Ducati Scrambler Sixty2 looks the same as that of the bigger Scrambler Icon. However, it has a blacked-out finish for the exhaust pipe as well, along with a black finish for the engine and multi-spoke alloy wheels. The small and rounded fuel tank sitting above the blacked-out trellis frame comes with blacked decals. There are sleek-looking Y-shaped side body panels sitting below the wide and large seat, which looks comfortable enough for two adults.
Towards the rear, the Ducati Scrambler Sixty2 has a minimalist appeal, with the slim-looking rear cowl below the seat ending with a small LED tail lamp, which is nestled between the seat and the tail cowl. There are no proper grab handles for the pillion rider, but they are neatly recessed below the seat towards the rear. The long and curved rear fender has the number plate and clear lens turn indicators mounted on it.
The Ducati Scrambler Sixty2 gets the same compact and rounded fully digital instrument console, which shows data for speedometer, tachometer, odometer, trip meters, fuel gauge, gear indicator, and clock. We would have loved to see more real-time information here, but the overall design looks neat and goes well with the rest of the design of the motorcycle.

Ducati Scrambler Sixty2 Ride & Handling
The Ducati Scrambler Sixty2 gets the same chassis setup as that of the bigger Scrambler Icon. Sitting on a tubular trellis frame, the motorcycle gets 41mm traditional telescopic forks from Showa and rear mono-shock with fully adjustable pre-load from Kayaba. The bike rides on an 18-inch front wheel and 17-inch rear wheel, which are wrapped with soft-compound Pirelli MT 60 RS tyres. For brakes, the Ducati Scrambler Sixty2 comes equipped with a 320mm disc with a 2-piston floating caliper at the front and a 245mm disc with a 1-piston floating caliper at the rear.

Ducati Scrambler Sixty2 Engine & Fuel Consumption
The Ducati Scrambler Sixty2 is powered by a four-stroke, air-cooled, L-twin, Desmodromic, 399cc engine, which happens to be the smallest motorcycle engine in the current lineup of Ducati worldwide. Coupled with a 6-speed gearbox, the engine pumps out a maximum power output of 40 bhp and a peak torque output of 34 Nm. These figures are decent for a sub-500ss twin-cylinder engine, and give an adequate amount of punch to the Ducati Scrambler Sixty2.
-
Ducati Scrambler Sixty2 Braking & Safety
Except for a dual-channel ABS, the Ducati Scrambler Sixty2 lacks any other modern-day safety equipment, to keep its costs as low as possible.
-
Ducati Scrambler Sixty2 Verdict
While the Ducati Scrambler Sixty2 lacks a few modern-day equipment for an entry-level middleweight motorcycle, the fact that it is a Ducati and has a classy neo-retro design helps it a lot in giving it a premium appeal. The well-sorted chassis and a punchy L-twin engine make it an athletic motorcycle to ride.
