Ducati Streetfighter V4

With the new Streetfighter V4, Ducati has not only brought back the Streetfighter nameplate, but also the sleek and aggressive design language which was associated with it. However, for this latest model, Ducati has made extensive changes to the motorcycle, which retains the original silhouette, but comes with redesigned panels.

As said above, the Ducati Streetfighter V4 is a naked version of the Panigale V4, thus the rakish but curved tailpiece with a tiny pillion seat, hollows within the tailpiece, and the nice-looking LED tail lamp have been shared with the latter. However, apart from that, the Ducati Streetfighter V4 has a completely different-looking motorcycle when viewed head-on.

At the front, the Ducati Streetfighter V4 has got rakish, wide, and sleek-looking dual LED headlamps, which are assisted with eyebrow-shaped daytime running LEDs. Except for a sporty-looking cowl in which the headlamp is housed, there is no other fairing attached to the front fascia, thus giving it minimal wind protection at higher speeds. The upper corners of the headlamp get LED turn indicators attached to it.

The side profile of the Ducati Streetfighter V4 looks extremely muscular with the completely exposed engine and fins attached to the sides of the vertically mounted radiator cowl giving it the right amount of aggression. The beautiful and well-sculpted fuel tank has been shared with the Panigale V4 and so is the engine with its premium-looking golden finish.

The radiator cowls, which are flowing down towards the engine cowl, are finished in silver, while the engine cowl at the bottom is painted in Ducati Red. Just below the engine, you will find massive and chunky-looking exhaust ports on either side of the motorcycle. The Y-shaped slim-looking side panels are a part of the aluminium frame of the Ducati Streetfighter V4, which flows towards the rear between the tail lamps. The multi-spoke black alloy wheels look good, with the rear wheel having a clean look due to the presence of the single-sided swingarm.

The Ducati Streetfighter V4 gets a 5-inch full-TFT instrument console just above the headlamp, which is easily one of the most modern and cool-looking meter panels you can find in a motorcycle. It packs in all the needed information while on the go, and also comes with Bluetooth and navigation supports.

Armed with one of the best chassis when it comes to motorcycles, the Ducati Streetfighter V4 gets an aluminium alloy front frame and a suspension setup of 43mm BPF fully-adjustable inverted telescopic forks at the front and a fully-adjustable Sachs mono-shock with a single-sided swingarm at the rear. The ride quality is on the stiffer side, but the overall suspension setup makes it one of the most fun-to-ride motorcycles with top-class riding dynamics. The Sachs steering damper and Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa 2 super-sticky tyres over the 17-inch alloy wheels further make the motorcycle grippy enough around corners. Even the braking setup is top-notch, with the motorcycle getting dual 330mm discs with radially-mounted Brembo Stylema calipers at the front and a single 245mm disc at the rear.

The Ducati Streetfighter V4 gets the same four-stroke, liquid-cooled, Desmosedici Stradale 90-degree V4, 1103cc engine, which powers its fully-faired sibling, the Panigale V4. The engine here is coupled to a super slick 6-speed gearbox and pumps out a staggering power output of 208 bhp and a torque output of 123 Nm – figures which are mind-boggling for a naked roadster. This makes it the most powerful naked roadster anyone can buy in the market right now.
