Harley-Davidson Breakout Overview
The Harley Davidson Breakout is one motorcycle that breaks a lot of notions related to production-spec cruisers. With its old-school custom chopper-like design which is factory-ready, the Harley Davidson Breakout carves a separate niche for itself in the segment of premium high-end cruisers. The Harley Davidson Breakout is imported and sold in the Philippines in a single variant, which is offered in four different colour options of Snake Venom (shade of green), Midnight Crimson (shade of red), Gauntlet Gray, and Vivid Black.

Harley-Davidson Breakout Design
One look at the Harley Davidson Breakout is enough to make you feel how distinctive this motorcycle looks when compared to other factory-ready cruisers from not only Harley Davidson, but other bike makers as well. The old-school chopper like the styling of the Harley Davidson Breakout is something that people usually expect from an after-market modified motorcycle, which surely makes it street-legal and an attention magnet right from the showroom floors.
The Harley Davidson Breakout looks tall and minimalist when viewed from the front. The round halogen headlamp is enclosed within a small black cowl, and the round orange-coloured turn indicators are mounted much above on either lower mid-ends of the handlebar.
The real chopper essence of the Harley Davidson Breakout is visible clearly when the motorcycle is seen from the sides. The tall 21-inch front wheel is sharply raked, and the entire engine and dual exhaust pipes get heavy doses of chrome over them. The single-sided dual exhaust pipes are stacked one over the other, and half of their design is finished in black. The high-mounted horizontally curved handlebar, forward set footpegs, and peanuts-style fuel tank and sloped rider seat placed on the same angle of inclination as that of the fuel tank lend it the ergonomics of a proper cruiser.
Towards the rear, the Harley Davidson Breakout gets an 18-inch alloy wheel, with a curved fender over it, which has a chopped look at its rear bottom. There is a small rear fender attached to this rear fender, while the sides of the fender have mounts for split tail lamps, with one round unit placed on either side of the fender. A small but usable seat is placed above the rear fender.
The Harley Davidson Breakout has a tiny 2.14-inch all LCD instrument console neatly tucked in between the clamps of the handlebar. This tiny unit reads the information of speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, odometer, trip meters, and clock. There is another separate display panel attached below it, which shows all the warning lights for the motorcycle. Being a premium top-class cruiser, the Harley Davidson Breakout has great levels of fit and finish, whichever part you take into consideration.

Harley-Davidson Breakout Ride & Handling
As effortless as the Harley Davidson Breakout is to ride on open and long highways, it feels a bit cumbersome to ride in the city traffic. The riding posture, long wheelbase and focused ergonomics make it low-speed handling and making U-turns tough tasks. The motorcycle is based around a mild-steel tubular frame with a rectangular section backbone frame, with the front of it getting non-adjustable 5.1-inches Showa forks and rear getting 3.4-inches spring-preload adjustable mono-shock. With the unique combination of 130/60-21 front tyre and 240/40-18 rear Michelin Scorcher tyres, the Harley Davidson Breakout is armed with dual 300mm discs at the front and a single 282mm disc at the back.

Harley-Davidson Breakout Engine & Fuel Consumption
The Harley Davidson Breakout sources its power from a liquid-cooled, Milwaukee-Eight 114 V-twin engine, which displaces 1868cc and is paired to a 6-speed gearbox. Like in all the cruisers from Harley Davidson, the power output has been kept under wraps, however, the peak torque output which is dished out is 155 Nm at as low as 3,000 rpm. This makes it an effortless motorcycle to ride on open highways.

Harley-Davidson Breakout Braking & Safety
Save for ABS, there is no other high-end electronic riding aid present in the Harley Davidson Breakout.
-
Harley-Davidson Breakout Verdict
The Harley Davidson Breakout might be a richly-equipped motorcycle for its price. However, the basic essence of this motorcycle lies in the fact that how distinctively it looks, making it a proper attention magnet.
