The Harley Davidson CVO Street Glide looks expensive from whichever angle you look at it. It is a big, burly, and quintessential American motorcycle in every sense, with lots of chrome and muscle everywhere.

At the front, the Harley Davidson CVO Street Glide greets you with its big rounded LED headlamp, which comes integrated with rounded daytime running LED and is encased in a large cowl that has a sloping upper edge and is curved from the sides. This huge cowl also covers the handlebar from the front and works great in protecting the rider from wind blasts at higher speeds. There are small rounded LED turn indicators placed below the lower edges of the cowl, on either side of the headlamp.

The large cowl at the front is not the only big thing on the Harley Davidson CVO Street Glide. The side profile of the motorcycle looks equally majestic with the large peanut-shaped fuel tank, which gets a gloss-black panel on its top that houses a beautiful-looking Harley Davidson motif. You do get the option of two themes for the exhaust, engine, and multi-spoke alloy wheels, depending on the colour option you choose – either full-chrome or black highlights with gunmetal finish.

The Harley Davidson CVO Street Glide looks royal from the rear, with subtly designed side body cowls and large panniers on either side of the pillion seat. These panniers have a sloping rear design, which looks in sync with the sloping rear fender above the rear wheel. The tail lamp cluster is mounted on the rear fender between the inner edges of the rear fender and panniers.

Behind the front cowl, the Harley Davidson CVO Street Glide gets a majestic rider’s cockpit, the star highlight of which is the touchscreen infotainment system accompanied by a series of analogue gauges for the instrument console. This full-TFT screen supports navigation, Bluetooth connectivity for phone calls, voice recognition, and music streaming, and a four-speaker Rockford Fosgate audio system. These features come in handy when you are doing mile-munching on long highways.

The wide stretched handlebar and forward-set wide footpegs give the Harley Davidson CVO Street Glide a proper cruiser appeal. While there is not much revolutionary appeal in its frame and suspension setup of upside-down front forks and mono-shock, they do a fine job in keeping the rider and pillion comfortable even on long-distance riding. The Harley Davidson CVO Street Glide gets dual disc brakes at the front and a single disc brake at the rear, which gets 32mm four-piston calipers.

The Harley Davidson CVO Street Glide sources its power from a 1,923cc Milwaukee-Eight 117 V-twin engine, which is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox and makes a maximum torque output of 169 Nm. This is one of the biggest V-twin engines produced in the current times and offers oodles of torque in whichever gear you are riding in.

The Harley Davidson CVO Street Glide does not have an extremely sophisticated electronic riding aid list as some of the other similarly priced sport motorcycles. However, it gets the essentials in the form of a dual-channel ABS, traction control, rain riding mode, cruise control, and tyre pressure monitoring system.

The Harley Davidson CVO Street Glide is all about style, attention-to-detailing, and the immense amount of comfort it offers on long distances. This is a motorcycle engineered for gulping down infinite miles and not for short intra-city rides, for its gigantic appeal might not be handled properly by newbie riders. The limited list of features might not justify its high asking price, but look beyond that, and it impresses you with its sheer persona.
