Harley-Davidson CVO Tri Glide

The Harley Davidson Tri Glide has a very unique visual appeal of a luxury trike, which is currently offered by no other motorcycle maker in the Philippines. This trike has a remarkable road presence which blends in the traditional design ethos of retro full-size cruisers of Harley Davidson very seamlessly.

At the front, the Harley Davidson Tri Glide gets a large rounded all-LED headlamp assisted with two other auxiliary rounded LED lamps and a small rounded LED turn indicator on both of its sides. The headlamp is encased within a large cowl, which is standard in all the CVO models and is big with a curved design on either side.

While the front profile is very much like a typical full-size Harley Davidson cruiser, the real changes start in the side profile. There is an additional luggage compartment below that large luggage box, where usually the rear wheel is positioned. Instead, the Harley Davidson Tri Glide gets two wheels with individualistic curved fenders above them.

In the rider’s cockpit, you are welcomed with an array of analogue gauges for the instrument console and a modern-looking TFT screen, which supports navigation, voice recognition, a four-speaker Rockford Fosgate music system, and Bluetooth connectivity for phone calls and music streaming. This screen is well complemented with an analogue instrument console-mounted above the fuel tank, which offers all the necessary information while on the go.

The Harley Davidson Tri Glide has a very relaxed riding posture with a wide stretched handlebar and forward-set wide footpegs. This trike gets a conventional mechanical frame under the skin, which is tweaked heavily towards the rear to support its unique three-wheeler design of it. The Harley Davidson Tri Glide gets a suspension combination of upside-down front forks and a mono-shock at the rear, which is tuned accordingly to suit its characteristics as a long-distance tourer. For braking duties, the Harley Davidson Tri Glide is equipped with dual disc brakes at the front and a single disc brake at the rear with 32mm four-piston calipers.

Powering the Harley Davidson Tri Glide is the same 1,923cc Milwaukee-Eight 117 V-twin engine, which powers other range-topping CVO motorcycles from Harley Davidson. Coupled with a 6-speed gearbox, this engine makes a maximum torque output of 169 Nm. The immense amount of torque produced from this one of the largest V-twin engines for motorcycles makes the Harley Davidson Tri Glide an effortless motorcycle to ride on highways.

The Harley Davidson Tri Glide is a bit less equipped in terms of safety features for its price, with the trike getting limited features like dual-channel ABS, rain riding mode, traction control, tyre pressure monitoring system, and cruise control.
