Harley-Davidson Iron 883

The Classic roadster by Harley Davidson features a very low riding stance that gives a better command while riding. On the front, the Harley Davidson Iron 883 features a sporty high mounted round-shaped headlamp that comes equipped with a black coloured panel that looks like a small-cap. Just below, the round orange turn indicators have been flanked below either side of those handlebars that makes the motorcycle look wide when viewed from the front. 

One thing that doesn't go unnoticed is the side profile of the Iron 883 that has been constructed in a very unique way with the fuel tank sloping and high-mounted. Moreover, the engine, double-barrel exhaust pipes, and alloy wheels are all finished in matte black that gives it a very dark and classy appeal. The Iron 883 also features a single seat as a standard seat and the pillion seat is available as an option.

In terms of ride and handling, the Harley-Davidson comes equipped with a traditional setup of telescopic hydraulic forks on the front and hydraulic coil springs in the rear. When the Harley Davidson 883 is compared to the Superlow, it features more modified ergonomics with footpegs position that makes it a fierce riding motorcycle. 

However, the low seat height of this classic roadster ensures a comfortable and convenient riding experience on city roads. However, the low-ground clearance is an issue sometimes, as it ends up getting stuck on bigger bumps.

The Harley-Davidson Iron 883 has been powered by a four-stroke, V-twin, fuel-injected, and high-powered 883cc engine. The above high-powered engine has been mated to a five-speed gearbox that has put up with an impressive torque output of 69 Nm. Moreover, the above engine features a very healthy mid-range torque spread that makes the Iron 883 an effortless mile muncher. 

The gear ratios are almost the same as that on the superlow which makes it a highly friendly motorcycle to ride on both urban and highway roads. However, one might feel the absence of sixth gear on longer routes in this motorcycle.

The Harley-Davidson Iron 883 comes equipped with a single disc brake on both front and rear. Other than the above braking setup, it also comes equipped with ABS that was missing in its previous model two to three years back. Moreover, this motorcycle by the Harley Davidson family is more at the premium end in the middle-weight segment that needs to be equipped with various other safety features.

Some of the other safety and security features include pass switch, street, road riding modes with side reflectors, and engine check warning.

The Harley Davidson Iron 883 has been placed among the most affordable spectrums of the Harley Davidson's portfolio and still possesses the charm and glamour in the right amount. The overall design is the perfect blend of classic and modern features that makes it an interesting proposition. Moreover, the engine lacks the outrageous sports appeal and refinement but gives the joy of riding the Iron 883 even at slower paces. 

Other than the exclusive list of features, the lower ground clearance should be taken care of while riding otherwise it's one of a kind in terms of practicality and style.
