Honda PCX150 Design
In all these years ever since its inception, the Honda PCX 150 has evolved much and still looks one of the most beautiful and swanky looking entry-level maxi-scooters on sale in the market. There are a number of unique design cues that help in making the Honda PCX 150 stand out from the crowd of conventionally styled scooters.
At the front, the Honda PCX 150 has got a large curvaceous apron, which is jeweled with a very unique all LED lighting arrangement. At the bottom of the front apron is placed a wide V-shaped slim looking all-LED headlamp. The central portion of the front apron has a vertically aligned black tinted visor, on the sides of which there is a Y-shaped daytime running LED arrangement which flows all the way towards the central upper edge of the headlamp.
The bulky looking front apron flows smoothly towards the sides all the way down to the split floorboard, which has been given a dual-tone finish to make it look bigger than what it actually is. The carved knee recesses and floor steps are designed very ergonomically even for taller riders.
The Honda PCX 150 looks slightly slimmer as compared to its front when it is viewed from the sides. The sleek-looking side body panels do not have many special looking contours, however, they flow nicely all the way towards the rear of the scooter. The rearmost tip of the Honda PCX 150 gets a wide single piece pillion grab rail, below which sits the wide tail lamp assembly. This assembly hosts an X-shaped LED tail light-flanked with clear lens turn indicators within it.
The Honda PCX 150 is a true maxi-scooter in every sense, despite its rather compact dimensions. There are a couple of significant storage spaces in the scooter, which include a 28-liter under-seat storage compartment as well as a small closed console box at the front which also houses a charging socket. The instrument console behind the rather utilitarian looking commuter-like handlebar is a widely placed fully digital instrument console. The main blue-backlit mushroom-like central display unit shows readouts for speedometer, odometer, fuel gauge, clock, and instantaneous and average fuel consumption figures.

Honda PCX150 Ride & Handling
The Honda PCX 150 has been fitted with a tried and tested and reliable mechanical setup under its curvaceous looking design. The scooter is packed with conventional hydraulic telescopic forks at the front and a single unit swing suspension at the rear. Riding on tall 14-inch wheels shod with a 100-section tire at the front and 120-section tire at the rear, the Honda PCX 150 comes equipped with a disc brake setup at the front and drum brake at the rear.

Honda PCX150 Engine & Fuel Consumption
The Honda PCX 150 shares its four-stroke, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, 150cc motor with the smaller Honda Airblade 150. However, it misses out on the superb hybrid system which is available in some of the other markets, though it gets the auto start-stop function as standard. This engine, mated to a V-belt CVT gearbox, makes a maximum power output of 14.7 PS and a peak torque output of 13.6 Nm. With a fuel efficiency of 51.3 kmpl, the Honda PCX 150 is quite economical as well.
-
Honda PCX150 Braking & Safety
The Honda PCX 150 is heavily equipped with good appreciable safety features onboard, which include a single-channel ABS, park brake lock, remote keyless ignition, and Honda Smart Controller System, which alerts the user if the scooter has been moved from its original location via an electronically controlled integrated lock system.

Honda PCX150 Verdict
The Honda PCX 150 looks fancy and has been packed with enough fancy features for its segment. However, the reason why most of its targeted audience prefers it is its reliable mechanical setup, including that fantastic 150cc engine which is engineered to last.
