Kawasaki Z125 Overview
Demonstrating the prowess of making roadsters in its smallest form, the Kawasaki Z125 is the smallest and most affordable Z offering from Kawasaki, a range which is known to have some of the most accomplished naked roadsters. The Kawasaki Z125 is available in Philippines in just one variant, which is being offered with only one colour option of green and is priced at PHP 120,000.

Kawasaki Z125 Design
The Kawasaki Z125 might be the most affordable model from the Z lineup, but by no means, it suffers from any compromise in its design language. Emulating its bigger brothers like Z650 and Z900, the Kawasaki Z125 looks aggressive despite having a compact size.
The front face of the Kawasaki Z125 looks quite big and pointy for a motorcycle of its size, and has a very sharp looking bikini fairing, which comes with an angular front headlamp, having sharp kinks at its upper corners. The headlamp is flanked by oversized clear lens blinkers on its lower edges. The golden finish for the upside-down front forks lends some premium appeal to it.
The side profile of the Kawasaki Z125 looks quite snazzy, thanks to a stylishly molded fuel tank, which also gets pointy and large fuel tank extensions flowing down towards the engine. The engine, here finished in black, comes with a big engine cowl, which does help in making the bike look bigger than what it is.
The aluminum frame of the Kawasaki Z125 is exposed in all its glory, which double up as side body panels, exhibiting the aggression of the motorcycle in its fullest form. Another element here that accentuates its sporty appeal is the stubby exhaust placed below the engine.
The Kawasaki Z125 comes with a fairly big and long single-piece seat, which is fixed above the sloping tailpiece very well. Talking about the tail design, it looks minimalist and ends up at the back with a petite LED tail lamp and recessed pillion grab rails. The rear fender of the Kawasaki Z125 is quite large and does come with clear lens blinkers mounted on it.
The rider’s cockpit of the Kawasaki Z125 looks quite cool with a slightly high placed handlebar and a sleek part digital instrument console. This meter panel comes with a traditional design, having an analog tachometer and a rectangular LCD panel displaying speedometer, fuel gauge, odometer, gear indicator, and trip meters. A cluster of telltale lamps is placed just on the right of the LCD panel.
The build quality, as well as fit and finish levels on the Kawasaki Z125, are exemplary, which forms the benchmark in the entry-level category of motorcycles.

Kawasaki Z125 Ride & Handling
The Kawasaki Z125 is armed with premium hardware for the entry-level segment to which it belongs, by having upside-down hydraulic telescopic forks at the front and an adjustable mono-shock at the rear. The nimble handling of the motorcycle is complemented well with a good pair of petal disc brakes at both the ends.

Kawasaki Z125 Engine & Fuel Consumption
The compact Kawasaki Z125 has been bestowed with an equally small four-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected, 125cc engine, which is the smallest engine in the Z family of roadsters from Kawasaki. Here on the Z125, the engine is capable of making a maximum power output of 9.3 PS and a maximum torque output of 9.5 Nm. The figures look decent for a 125cc motorcycle, but considering its low kerb weight of just 101 kg, it translates into a healthy power to weight ratio. The engine is coupled to a 4-speed gearbox.

Kawasaki Z125 Braking & Safety
Save for disc brakes at both the ends, there is no other safety feature in the Kawasaki Z125, which is quite agreeable given its price point. However, an ABS would have ben much appreciated.

Kawasaki Z125 Verdict
The Kawasaki Z125 might be small in size, but it doesn’t miss out on the aggression and fun to ride aspects of a traditional Z roadster from Kawasaki. With top-notch hardware and no compromise on character and quality, the Z125 makes up for a brilliant entry-level motorcycle.
