KTM Duke 390 Overview
With a minimalistic yet aggressive design philosophy, engine ready to give you an adrenaline rush, athletic manoeuvrability, and a bucket full of modern-day features, the KTM Duke 390 is probably the best bet in its segment without any second thoughts. Taking inspiration from its elder siblings in the Austrian automaker's lineup, the KTM Duke 390 offers a similar experience at a much lower price point. Available in Orange and White finishes, the Duke 390 is a lot of motorcycle at Php 240,000. Read on our detailed review to know what makes it such a prolific offering.

KTM Duke 390 Design
It is not just brute power where the KTM Duke 390 excels as the street fighter vaunts some highly enticing looks as well. For starters, the bike features LED lighting all around with LED headlamp, LED turn signals, and an LED taillamp. Moreover, there is the short front fender, fully exposed dual-tone trellis frame, and striking graphics. Even though minimalistic, the KTM Duke 390's design language provides it with a mean, aggressive, and tough to be ignored kind of an appearance.
Then there is the Bluetooth enabled fully-colored TFT LCD instrument cluster with speedometer, odometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, temperature gauge, and other readings like average speed, distance to empty, average fuel consumption, gear indicator, instantaneous fuel efficiency, and others. With Bluetooth connectivity onboard, riders can connect their smartphone with the bike and receive and disconnect calls using the instrument cluster and the switchgear, which is backlit.

KTM Duke 390 Ride & Handling
The KTM Duke 390 loves the edges of the roads. It just does. The Austrian bike is agile and provides the rider with a lot of confidence to take on the corners. With that said, the suspension setup on the KTM Duke 390 comprises of upside-down hydraulic telescopic forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear along with an aluminium swingarm. Courtesy of the high-end and much capable suspension setup and some fine-tuning by KTM, the Duke 390 makes for a corner hunter with ease. Be it city roads, highways, or some occasional track rides, the KTM Duke 390 is ready to take on anything you throw at it.

KTM Duke 390 Engine & Fuel Consumption
KTM bikes are known for their raw power, and the Duke 390 is no different. The aggressive street fighter houses a 373cc single-cylinder four-stroke liquid-cooled fuel-injected engine that packs in a pretty powerful punch. Speaking of power, the Austrian motorcycle's 373cc heart generates 43 PS of maximum power and a peak torque of 37 Nm. The rear wheel receives the power via a six-speed gearbox, which features rather short gear ratios and might make the ride quality a bit too aggressive for city use. The same gearbox, however, shines bright when you engage the higher gears.
-
KTM Duke 390 Braking & Safety
As for the braking setup, the KTM Duke 390 gets disc brakes at both front and rear. Also, the bike comes equipped with dual-channel ABS for enhanced braking capabilities. The ABS on the KTM Duke 390 gets three different modes, namely on, off, and supermoto, where the supermoto mode turns the ABS off for the rear wheel and allows the rider to take full control over the bike and perform some sweet wheelies. Moreover, the disc brakes on the KTM Duke 390 flaunt steel braided lines for superior performance.

KTM Duke 390 Verdict
The KTM Duke 390 is one true bang for the buck motorcycle that offers quite a lot at just Php 240,000. Though it certainly is an aggressive unit with a not so comfortable riding stance, it makes up for that with its much capable engine, a long list of features, sharp handling abilities, to-notch braking setup, and a very alluring appearance. So, if you're okay with compromising with comfort levels and are looking for something robust, nimble, and fast, look no farther than the KTM Duke 390. Also, the Austrian motorcycle will lay a good foundation and help in honing your skills to move on to bigger bikes in the future.
