Kymco Like 150i

The Scooters seem to be taking three distinct routes when it comes to design and styling. The modern scooters are either too edgy or tend to look sportier or maxi but Kymco Like 150i seems to be third on the list of classic scooters. This scooter takes inspiration from Vespas but caters to the needs and demands of the modern generation. 

The front portion features a slightly angular curved structure along with a proper front headlight. The design is great and clean but its front feature lacks various features and that makes it featureless. Moreover, every other mechanical part has been kept a bit dark just to make it look more attractive and fascinating.

The front part suspension of Kymco Like 150i has been balanced by the traditional telescopic forks in the front with 95mm travel and a dual triple-stage shock absorber setup with 86mm travel for the rear. The riding experience is highly plush even on bad urban roads and the riding stance is 770mm with smoother handling ensured by the handlebars which are kept high and wide. The front footboard has been offered enough space with compact dimensions that might be problematic and uncomfortable for tall riders. 

The compact size of the wheelbase is like an advantage to the scooter which makes it more rigid and stable in terms of ride and handling.

The Kymco Like 150i derives its power from a 150cc 4V Euro 4 compliant air-cooled and fuel-injected engine that churns out a power output of 13.3 hp at 9000 rpm and 12.5 Nm of torque at 6500 rpm. These power figures have been mated with a CVT automatic just to ensure smooth power delivery from the engine. 

Moreover, the new model's engine has been revamped in comparison to its previous model and now the power figures have also been increased to offer better mileage that ranges between 30-35 kmpl. The power output delivered by this engine is user-friendly and linear which makes it more refined and free from any kind of engine vibrations.

The Kymco Like 150i is not a head-turner in terms of braking and safety but has surely been offered with impressive disc brakes on both the front and rear end that have been complemented by Bosch ABS on both ends. In its class or segment, it has the best setup of braking and safety to ensure safer rides ahead for any rider. It has also been offered with additional safety features like street, road riding modes that you to switch between modes. 

The engine check warning and side reflectors are also safety features that ensure the rider's safety. In terms of braking and safety, this scooter has it all that can help it survive the tough competition in the Philippine market.

The Kymco Like 150i and the Noodoe variant are both premium entry-level Scooters that have been offered premium features at the same time. The classic styling and practical erogonomics along with riding dynamics make it the best in its segment. The modern features are also features that pay justice to the price tag of this scooter. 

The scooter has done great in terms of modern features and performance but it also needs to upgrade itself with the passage of time. Surviving the competitive market of the Philippines is a big deal with the rise of new entry-level Scooters.
