MV Agusta Superveloce Review

MV Agusta Superveloce Overview
The MV Agusta Superveloce is a high-performance fully-faired middleweight sports bike, which the brand is marketing as a premium café racer. This motorcycle sits at the top of the faired sports bikes, given its exclusivity, top-order hardware and use of expensive materials. The MV Agusta Superveloce is on sale in the Philippines in two colours – Grigio Nardo and Rosso AGO.

MV Agusta Superveloce Design
MV Agusta has done a commendable job in making the Superveloce a unique-looking motorcycle, which appears to be a balance between a traditional café racer and a fully-faired sport tourer. MV Agusta is promoting the Superveloce as a café racer and while it does look like a traditional café racer towards the rear, the front look of the motorcycle looks like a traditional sports bike with its full fairing in place.
At the front, the MV Agusta Superveloce gets a high-quality rounded LED headlamp nestled within a well-sculpted, curvaceous fairing, which also integrates a transparent windscreen at the top. The curvaceous front fairing extends towards the sides, where it adjoins the side body fairing panels which flow towards the bottom of the motorcycle. These panels partially cover the engine on the sides, while also coming mounted with sleek LED turn indicators.
The side profile of the MV Agusta Superveloce is a mix of a sports tourer and a café racer. The fuel tank of the motorcycle looks inspired by that of the Brutale naked roadster, making the motorcycle look edgy and modern with its curves and sleek knee recesses. The black-themed engine is partially exposed here, which gives way to the triple-pipe exhaust setup, which has beautiful-looking vertically aligned exhaust pipes. The curved spokes of the black alloy wheels and single-sided swingarm further enhance the beauty of the MV Agusta Superveloce when viewed from the side.
The tail section of the MV Agusta Superveloce is where the café racer essence starts to appear, with the motorcycle having a compact tail section, which has a flat rider’s seat with a curved cowl behind it. This cowl comes neatly integrated with a rounded LED tail lamp, which also houses LED turn indicators. The MV Agusta Superveloce rides on premium Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres, which have been shared with the Brutale 800.
Another aspect shared with the Brutale by the MV Agusta Superveloce is its 5.5-inch TFT instrument console, which packs in all the required information, while also featuring dual display themes, Bluetooth connectivity and MV Ride app. Like a traditional café racer, the MV Agusta Superveloce has lower-set clip-on handlebars.

MV Agusta Superveloce Ride & Handling
MV Agusta has given premium hardware to the Superveloce, thus replicating the tradition that it has followed for other of its motorcycles. The MV Agusta Superveloce sits on an ALS steel trellis frame while getting a Marzocchi upside-down telescopic hydraulic fork with TiN low friction treatment at the front and progressive, Sachs single shock absorber at the rear, with both featuring rebound and compression damping and spring preload adjustment. While it gets 120/70 ZR17 front and 180/55 ZR17 rear tyres, the brakes here are dual 320mm discs at the front and a single 220mm disc at the rear with Brembo Stylema callipers.

MV Agusta Superveloce Engine & Fuel Consumption
Given that it is based on the Brutale, the MV Agusta Superveloce is powered by a liquid-cooled, inline-three, 798cc engine. Like the Brutale, the engine here is paired with a 6-speed transmission and churns out 148 PS of maximum power and 88 Nm of maximum torque. MV Agusta claims a top speed of 240 kmph and a 0-100 kmph acceleration timing of 3.05 seconds, making it one of the fastest middleweight motorcycles on sale right now.
-
MV Agusta Superveloce Braking & Safety
For a safe and precise riding experience, the MV Agusta Superveloce has been equipped with riding aids like a dual-channel ABS, cruise control, launch control, front lift control and four riding modes – sport, race, rain and custom.
-
MV Agusta Superveloce Verdict
The MV Agusta Superveloce has a one-of-its-kind design, blending the authenticity of a café racer and a sports tourer in a single package, while also offering uncompromised performance and riding dynamics of a sports bike.
