Suzuki Smash 115 Design
Given the fact that the Suzuki Smash 115 belongs to the lower band of Suzuki’s portfolio and caters to a particular segment that keeps function over form in the priority order, the motorcycle lacks modernity and desirability in its visual appeal. The Smash 115 looks too simple for modern taste, however, it surely feels functional for the purpose for which it has been designed.
The Suzuki Smash 115 looks sleek and has a steeply slanted design for the front apron, which has curved and sharp-looking edges and teardrop-shaped turn indicators mounted on its lower corners. The simple-looking headlamp mounted on the handlebar looks big for its size and looks proportional to the small and sleek front apron. The large fender above the front wheel is placed in the same angle as that of the front apron, which makes the front of the Smash 115 look pretty aerodynamic.
The sleekness in the design of the Suzuki Smash 115 is well continued towards the side profile as well. The front apron gives way for sharp-looking side extensions towards the engine mounted downwards, and comes with mild graphics on its upper portion. The central portion of the design, below the seat, has been given a curved design to add some visual drama to it. The engine is finished in an all-black theme, while the Smash 115 gets basic looking spoked wheels.
The rear side body panels on the Suzuki Smash 115 look slim and rise upwards to the slim tailpiece at the back. Apart from body graphics, there is nothing much to describe its design. At the back, the tailpiece of the Suzuki Smash 115 feels fairly large and mostly is covered by the tail lamp cluster, which comprises of clear lens turn indicators and a centrally placed tail lamp between them. The rear fender, seat, pillion grab rail, and exhaust pipe do get a simple design to match the basic character of the Suzuki Smash 115.
There is nothing much to describe about the instrument console of the Suzuki Smash 115, as the basic looking dials only pack in the essentials like speedometer, fuel gauge, and odometer. The silver-finished levers however is a nice addition here.

Suzuki Smash 115 Ride & Handling
The Suzuki Smash 115 might feel drab in its design and engine characteristics, but the chassis has some interesting character despite being simple as well. The motorcycle is kitted with simple hydraulic telescopic forks at the front and a tubular swingarm with single-sided coil spring at the rear. The whole suspension setup, along with 17-inch wheels, feel dynamic while on the go, and with the light-weighted nature of the bike, makes it feel easy and agile to ride. The optional disc brake at the front feels nice and progressive and is worth the extra premium it commands over the regular drum brake variant.

Suzuki Smash 115 Engine & Fuel Consumption
The Suzuki Smash 115 comes fitted with a four-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled, carbureted, 112.8cc engine, which like the rest of the design of the bike, is simple to the core in its architecture. The engine, which is mated to a 4-speed gearbox, churns out 8.7 PS of maximum power output and 9 Nm of peak torque output.

Suzuki Smash 115 Braking & Safety
The basic Suzuki Smash 115, in order to keep costs in check, misses out on the basic safety features like a key shutter mechanism as well as a combined braking system or ABS and hasn’t got any noteworthy addition in this area.

Suzuki Smash 115 Verdict
With a frills-free design and too much of basicity in its mechanicals and architecture, the Suzuki Smash 115 is not a product engineered to appeal straight to your heart. However, at the price at which it is offered, the Suzuki Smash 115 is a decent value for the strong and reliable mechanicals it has on offer.
