Suzuki V-Strom 650XT

The Suzuki V-Strom looks very similar to that of its elder sibling that is the flagship V-Strom 1000. Other than the scaled-down dimensions, there have been few changes here and there that gives its own identity among other motorcycles. On the front portion, the V-Strom 650 XT has been offered a long rounded yet vertically stretched out headlamp with various casings for both high and low beams. 

Moreover, the short beak-shaped silver colour fender looks very cool and purposeful as it has been placed just below the headlamp. On the sideways, the V-Strom 650 XT looks huge but actually has a very lean profile unlike most of the adventure motorcycles. The touring essence has been ensured by the big transparent windshield that reduces the wind blasts.

In terms of ride and handling, the Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT comes equipped with a suspension setup of conventional forks on the front and a linked mono-shock at the rear which makes it highly reliable. The suspension has also been altered to a slightly stiffer edge and it smoothly absorbs the bumps offering the rider a smooth riding experience. 

Moreover, the motorcycle comes equipped with those twin brakes on the front and a single disc brake at the rear which makes it easy to handle even at higher speeds. It suffers a drawback with its seat height that makes it inconvenient for short-height riders.

The Suzuki V-Strom 650 houses a 645cc four-stroke, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled engine that has been coupled with a six-speed manual gearbox. The above powertrain churns out a power output of 66 hp along with a peak torque of 58 Nm when partnered with a six-speed manual gearbox. Moreover, the overall performance of this adventure tourer has been enhanced by the Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve system. 

Overall, the engine has a punchy midrange and bottom end grunt that is expected to become more powerful at higher revs. Performance-wise it delivers a decent performance that makes it fit for both adventure and daily commuting rides.

In terms of braking and safety, the Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT ABS comes equipped with dual-channel ABS other than the disc brakes on the front and rear. Though the Suzuki automakers failed to incorporate the Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT ABS with electronics such as traction control and power modes. It would have been a better choice at this price if this adventure motorcycle had been offered with the latest electronic aids. 

Some of the other safety feature lists include a pass switch, side reflectors, road, and sport-touring riding modes. Other security features that ensure security are engine check warning and Anti-theft alarm.

The Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT ABS turns out to be the best adventure motorcycle that has been made available at a pretty decent price. Now if we talk about the ergonomics of this motorcycle, the rider will take some time to get habituated to it but once they get habituated it becomes their best companion. Moreover, in terms of performance as well as the riding dynamics makes it a very capable motorcycle for both inexperienced and amateur riders. 

Except for one drawback of electronic safety aids, this motorcycle turns out to be a great adventure motorcycle.
