TVS Ntorq 125 Overview
One of the most affordable two-wheelers on sale from BMW, the Neo NX is a popular underbone bike from the Indian manufacturer which caters to urban and rural commuters. Designed and built as an entry-level bike, the TVS Neo NX is being offered in a single variant with six colour options – black-blue, black-green, black-red, white-blue, white-green and white-red.

TVS Ntorq 125 Design
From the way it looks, the TVS Ntorq 125 clearly shows its intentions as a sporty-looking scooter which shouts attention and is more inclined towards the younger audience. There are several design elements of the Ntorq 125, which give it a unique character and command attention from the onlookers.
The TVS Ntorq 125 is one of the few scooters in its price range which has an apron-mounted headlamp. The Philippines-spec version of the Ntorq 125 misses out on the all-LED arrangement with LED DRLs which the Indian version of the Ntorq 125 gets. Nevertheless, this halogen headlamp offers impressive illumination of the road ahead. The central part of the front apron above the headlamp and front fender are blacked out, while either corner of the handlebar cowl comes integrated with clear lens turn indicators.
The TVS Ntorq 125 looks dramatic from the side as well, with the lower side of the front cowl having sporty graphics and the wide side body panels towards the rear having angular edges that accentuate its sporty design. The floorboard might look compact but is decently roomy for even taller riders. The Ntorq 125 comes standard with 12-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, with it also having a sporty-looking exhaust muffler with chrome garnish.
Like the front profile, even the rear section of the TVS Ntorq 125 looks quite interesting with the T-themed LED tail lamp between faux mesh panels, which have integrated clear lens turn indicators below them. The TVS Ntorq 125 has split pillion grab rails and faux carbon mesh inserts around the instrument console, which also add to the sportiness of the scooter.
The full-LCD instrument console of the TVS Ntorq 125 has plenty of information, while also supporting Bluetooth connectivity and navigation. Other utility features of the Ntorq 125, which add to its practicality, include a 22-litre under-seat storage compartment, key shutter mechanism for the ignition keyhole and external fuel filler.

TVS Ntorq 125 Ride & Handling
Like the sportiness of its engine tune, the mechanical setup of the TVS Ntorq 125 also makes you believe that this scooter loves to be ridden in a spirited manner. The suspension setup of the Ntorq 125, comprising a telescopic fork at the front and a gas-charged single-sided coil spring at the rear, has a slightly stiffer setup which makes the overall handling of the scooter agile and spirited.
The Ntorq 125 is one of the few scooters in the market which comes with 12-inch alloy wheels at both ends, featuring a 100/80-12 tyre at the front and a 110/80-12 tyre at the rear. These tyres offer superior grip at all speeds and even at corners. Even the braking setup – a 220mm disc at the front and a 130mm drum at the rear – feels nicely suited to the sporty character of the Ntorq 125.

TVS Ntorq 125 Engine & Fuel Consumption
Compared to functional and economy-oriented engines of other 125cc scooters sold in the Philippines, the TVS Ntorq 125 has a different and sporty engine to suit its racing-inspired personality. The four-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled 124.79cc engine of the Ntorq 125 has a first-in-segment three-valve arrangement and churns out a maximum power output of 9.4 PS and a maximum torque output of 10.5 Nm.
Like in other scooters, this engine is also paired with a V-belt automatic transmission but exhibits a different high-revving sporty character, which was unseen in scooters of this segment. While the engine impresses with its outright power delivery, fuel efficiency is not the forte of the Ntorq 125, with it having the least fuel efficiency among all 125cc scooters.

TVS Ntorq 125 Braking & Safety
While the TVS Ntorq 125 misses out on the practicality of an ABS, it is a decently equipped scooter with a superior petal disc brake at the front and Bluetooth connectivity, which also assists the navigation system provided in the instrument console.

TVS Ntorq 125 Verdict
There are not many scooters in the 125cc segment, which offer a character as sporty as the TVS Ntorq 125. This 125cc scooter from TVS has sportiness written all over it – whether the design, performance or handling. Even the equipment list on board is impressive for a 125cc scooter, making the TVS Ntorq 125 one of the fanciest scooters in the 125ccc category.
