The design of the Yamaha is an ode to the practical yet stylish outlook of the Japanese brand. The Sniper 150 has been made taking inspiration from racing bikes. This is made clear from the sharp, edgy apron, narrow LED DRLs, sharp vents, and front fairing. The sporty and modern digital-analog instrument, the large analog tachometer also enhances the edgy look of the scooter giving it a special appeal. The ride quality is comfortable even on highways but nothing extraordinary. The tires do make cutting sharp corners, overtaking, and weaving through heavy traffic much easier. The collapsible footpegs are an added benefit from Yamaha in case of crazy angle bending which can lead to scrapping. It also comes with a street riding mode which allows the rider to take full advantage of the speedy, sporty feel of the bike. The best part about the Yamaha Sniper 150 is undoubtedly its impressive engine. The liquid-cooled, SOHC 4, fuel-injected 149.7cc engine is an underrated performer. Not only does it give power of 15.4 PS at 8500 rpms, it also gives a maximum torque of 13.8 Nm at 7,000 rpm. The 5-speed constant mesh gearbox is also an added advantage teamed with the low gearing. The clutch is slightly stiff but with some practice, it is quite manageable while overtaking or weaving through traffic is very smooth and easy. 

Even with a maximum speed of 120 kmph, there has been no compromise of the fuel efficiency. With a 4.2 L fuel tank, you can easily cover 160-189 km at one go and not fret about your fuel running out. 

The braking and safety features are basic yet helpful. The 245mm single hydraulic disc in the front and a 203 mm rear single disc does a good job on both ends. Some of the safety features included are Pass Switch, Side Reflectors, Shutter Lock, and Engine Check Warning. However, the inclusion of the Anti-Lock Braking System could have been a useful addition. 

While the Yamaha Sniper 150 does require a better upgrade it is also one of the most reliable scooters in the market. Be it the moderate yet powerful engine, the sleek sporty look of the bike, it definitely stands out from the rest of the bike segment. Features like tail lamps, LED headlamps, indicator lights, and digital gauges are useful to the rider while also giving the bike a sporty, sleek look.
